Now, myself, I don't plan on getting BF3 at release (if at all) - I do plan on getting the N7 Deluxe (digital) ME3 and suspect that it will include another method for early MP demo access. I also agree with a few others in this thread that there will probably be a facebook/twitter based way of getting early access too.
Another note - it has been posted at least twice, that the Online Pass from BF3 is tied to your EA account, NOT the platform you purchase BF3 or ME3 on - so you can buy BF3 on one platform, and play the ME3 demo on a different platform.
Cheers to all - and bring on March 6, 2012!!

Yep cause that's what it says, it specifically states you must buy BF3 to play the demo, how smart huh, to have potential customers not have access to the demo of a game made by an entirely different developer. You would think they would just grant early access to the demo or something........
The world today......so stupid.

Otherwise I'm all for it - I think it's great to be able to play ME3 ~two months in advance. If the BF3 early-beta access is any indicator the early access phase of the ME3 MP-demo might be rather small anyway (BF3 Beta had 2 days for those who pre-ordered or had the Medal of Honor Tier1 Edition). It even makes sense in my opinion, since multiplayer might most likely be the most appealing part to BF3-gamers who haven't played any ME until now.

Reminds me of the bickering between Apple and Samsung over the new Iphone.

Why? I mean, what's the purpose of the demo? To convince people who was unsure and haven't preordered it or decided if they'll buy it.Lenimph wrote...
I would certainly hope that those who preordered the CE would get early access and I would find it ridiculous if they don't.
So... at least in my opinion, it would be only logical to give early access to everyone - in other words, no early access and no restriced access. Just put it up somewhere and let us try the game already.

This time no EA, I won't allow your intrusive software in my system. Cracked or sandboxed 2nd hand game is the most I'm giving.

Hopefully that's one of the other ways to get early MP access. Though I probably be playing the SP part more than the MP part.Lenimph wrote...

If anything, it's EA trying to use BF3 to promote ME3. Seriously, BF3 may sell up to 10 million copies this holiday season alone. There's no better way to promote ME3's MP component and get more hardcore gamers to purchase it than using BF3 for that.DnVill wrote...
lol... this is a clear EA marketing strategy to try and out sell BF3 against the up coming MW3.... It's sad that Bioware got caught up in the middle.

While I didn't read all the posts, I did read all the dev posts. And my question is... will the early demo be available for all platforms, of just the PC? I didn't see anything official on what platforms it would be released on.

The single-player section of the demo will be available to all players on day one of the demo launch
Thanks, BW!

Go figure. I wish EAWare would give a straight answer instead of dancing around the issue.Nero Narmeril wrote...

According to this, the ME3 demo will require Origin.
I don't want Origin on my machine but it seems like multiplayer is being included just so they can force it down our throats.

ME's MP component is coop. A hardcore FPS gamer who is a fan of BF3 but isn't a fan of the ME series would likely not be interested in playing against AI. If they intended to promote ME3 through BF3 then why isn't this offer listed on the BF3 main website?
tbh, I dont really care about BF3 or MW3 sales. They're all generic FPS with steadily improving graphics. Once you played one you've played them all. This is the main reason why I play Bioware games since they actually have content in their games.
