There's still nothing about the release date on the Mass Effect 3 website, so I would say it's not official until it appears there or until Bioware announce it on their forum, disappointed though if it won't be earlier, can't remember the last time I was this excited about a game.

It's on the XBL dashboard...not the demo, but the release date.

I'm pretty sure it was suppose to happen today or the 19th, but as with almost all ME3 news it got out before they could say anything.

That's true, I've normally read something or seen a new video days before it's been added to the ME3 website.

I personally don't think that a separate multiplayer demo will be released earlier than Feb. 14th for BF3 owners. I'm figuring that the full demo will be released on Feb. 14th, but the multiplayer section of the demo will be unavailable to non-BF3 owners, like the option for multiplayer in the menu will be grayed out and unselectable until a later date for people who don't own BF3.

Of course not. It's not the BioWare way.
The BioWare way is to change statements two months after they were made.

But what matters is this: it's on its way, just like the game itself. Everything else is part of that chaotic somethin called marketing.

I've just read that the KOA demo is only exclusive to Gold members only on XBL, meaning Silver members can't get the additions for Mass Effect, so does this mean the same may apply to the Mass Effect 3 demo? If so I guess I have no choice but to wait for the full game.

No. A lot of demos released on XBL are limited to gold members at first, and then available to silver accounts on a later date.

Why would you be? I would say it's better than the MP coming out earlier and on its own. Those BF3 owners would be able to play SOME of the game before anyone else. This way everyone plays some part of the game at the same time but people who went in for the early access get to play the MP and SP. It's all fair to me.

I don't think thats is correct, last time I heard BF3 just gives earlier access to the MP portion, so us PEEPS with no BF3 will probebly get it a little later.

I hope, I really hope that they plan to give early access to people via other means than purchasing Battlefield 3. I absolutely will not buy a game for the sole purpose of demoing another. I remember hearing about their plans to announce other means of obtaining early access...Hopefully said announcement is still waiting in the wings.

Yep, that's the official statement.
Unfortunately, that official statement also said that the demo will come out in January, so you can never be sure.

So...  When does "early access" occur?  Also, what happened to "Demo in January!"?

That's not to say I want to play it in January...  But I'm noticing a trend here where they keep kicking it down the road, over and over and over again.

Are we SURE It's Feb 14th this time?  Like, absolutely positive?

Or when we get to 2/14 are they going to say "Demo 3/5!"?

EDIT:  I'm actually beginning to feel like Alice from Alice in Wonderland (Disney Version) where the Mad Hatter yells "new cup new cup, move down move down" until they get down to the other end of the table with nowhere else to go.
