Does anyone else here find the M-98 Widow boring?

Sacrilege
Hardly. Spending the whole time in the back, sniping is about as boring as I can think of and worse no challenge whatsoever.

Nop. It's my fav gun in ME2 and the best friend of an Infiltrator. I just wish I could have more thermo clips for this baby. Almost never use any other weapon than the Widow and that Sub-MG you get on Kasumi's LM (name missing).
As I said, boring and easy. CQC Infiltrators rule...

Boring is obviously subjective, but considering you answered someone who declared your opinion as sacrilege, I guess I can see where you're coming from with that.
I don't feel like the challenge factor is totally annihilated though. But maybe I just have a slightly better (more interesting) time making sure my squadmates aren't getting themselves killed up ahead while I scope and drop everyone in sight.

So it sounds like even if the the rifle isn't the Widow, you find sniping boring anyway. So if I were you I'd just stay away from it since it doesn't suit you
No, I like Sniping fine, in fact I love ammo powers and the crazy goodness of the Viper for ammo power activation but sniping everything in sight (which you can do with the Viper pretty well as well) is boring.
I challenge anyone to provide evidence that CQC is not more challenging than staying a 100m back and sniping everything you see.

Then try a higher difficulty? Dunno, I love that gun. I'm not a grunt, that's what I have Grunt for (uhh ... obviously). I don't think it's a "boring" weapon. But that's a matter of taste-

I only play on Insanity so that is not an option.

Now are you talking in game CQC vs in game sniping? Or are you saying CQC is more difficult than sniping in real life?
In game of course.

Could be because shooting a scoped single shot sniper rifle in a video game makes me think of shooting off my 30-06. Especially the *chk-******* of the reload. Good times.
