I am pleased that they reduced the bust size and made her look less like a small child. It's actually pretty good to see a game design company and a company that makes the Bishojou statue range actually listen to people complaining about oversexualization and taking it down a notch as a response.
I'm tempted to believe that this is a good sign for the future, if audiences are actually opposing hyper sexualized designs of women and companies are listening to this and more importantly adjusting it based on those criticisms, maybe this means that our entertainment media is finally getting a little bit more mature.

All the same though I'm not sure if it looks much like Liara or if the anime style of design really works for one of the ladies from Mass Effect.
Plus I'm not really a huge Liara fan so I probably don't have any intention on getting it, I have enough strange collectables as it is.

That said, does anyone know if there are going to be others like this? I remember them saying that they bought the Bioware license which might mean they are going to do designs like this for all of the female characters of both Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
If this is true, I'm a little worried about characters I like undergoing obscene oversexualization and being made to look like children in the process. But on the other hand there's always a chance, no matter how slim, that it might turn out good. Though I take that thought with a grain of salt.

I never thought the Liara statue looked like a child. she just looked Asian that's all. I am fine with characters looking sexy, since most people play Video games to get away from reality. however her breast size was abit too big in original version.

Much better. When I saw the pics on Bioware's fb page, her boobs were about twice the size as they were in game. Nice to see anime that isn't focussed on over sexualisation.

Regardless of my personal preference, I think the statue still looks really good. And isn't as far off as people have been complaining about.

Now I can believe that this statue is anime-styled Liara. If I were a fan of this character I'd buy that figurine.

I ended up finding their Elektra and Poison Ivy statues from your link, and tbh even though they're sexualised they actually look great. But something about the Liara statue just looks... off; they fixed the bust issues and a few other little things, but the anime style on her face just looks strange.
