Considering where Mass Effect's interest lie in the first place(SP, Offline, etc), I'm shocked that bots or even split screen wasnt included.
And those who keep saying we wont be able to work with bots or anything, well where in the world have you been? I agree that you cant communicate with them as much as you would with ppl, but working with bots is exactly what we've been doing through the past two games! And I've had no problems with that so far.
Besides how well you communicate with ppl really depends. What if they have no mic? What if they're a "griefer"? What if they just dont care or arent used to teamwork? At least with friendly bots you can expect to have some medium of cooperation, I find that is MUCH better to work with than some random players I met online.
I can also see the "Better with Kinect" label we hear all the time actually have some truth to it if bots were included in multiplayer.

Looks like this thread is not active anymore, however I have a question about BOTS in ME3. Last night (6/14/12) I got dropped in a match that had one other player. This player appeared to hover through the map, at times his legs and arms would move like normal but most of the time he just hovered around. He was not holding a weapon, yet the enemies died around him. He recovered after being killed without me reviving him more than 2 times (i.e., Medagels) and recovered me both times I died. We completed all 11 levels and he dropped out when other players joined us in the lobby. I remember his name was something like: KOOL_5_AID_10. Is this just a glitch? Was I playing with a real player or are they experimenting with BOTS?

I agree with having the choice of using bots. Start Trek Voyager Elite Force did this well. Over 10yrs later, surely BW can determine how to do this too.

No bots. There's an entire single-player campaign for the antisocials to play. No need to go catering the multiplayer aspect to them as well.
Bah, but they connect singleplayer to multiplayer already.
But yeah, bots would just screw things up, they die often enough in singleplayer as it is.

have said it before.
give us the ability to choose 3 of our characters, 2 as AI controlled squadmates like in Singleplayer. Give us the same power wheel system in singleplayer too so we can easly control them. or give us a AI system like in Dragon Age. or both.
players could then enjoy the multiplayer content without dealing with online issues.

I agree for having bots,
I HATE multiplayer, but unfortunately, most of the powers and characters (I paid for) are not available in the single player mode.
I don't want to be left out of this, so having bots as my companions would be nice, so I would be able to play these missions even offline.
(and for all of you who are going to say "you can solo multiplayer"
you can also play the single player game with your hands tied on your back while holding your controler/keyboard with 1 foot, but that's hardly a valid argument)
this is a single player game first, and a mp second, leave alone the mp is optional, having bots in this game would actually be natural and need to be basics.
I mean no offence bioware, I love your games, but if I wanted multiplayer, I would have bought a game that has no story or solo gameplay, but only has multiplayer/is a mmo
I got myself the mass effect series for its story and single player (and hopes of a co-up instead of mp, as co-up is WAY more interesting then mp, letting another player take control of one of your squad members)
to all the people here saying that "bots are unnececary"
just becaurse you don't "like" the idea of bots, does not make it a invalid idea, especially considering MP is quite abandoned right now,
if I would have to suggest something, it is to make MP so you can even play it if you have no interent connection whatsoever, and bots.
This game is also a single player game FIRST, not "Mass Effect the MMO"
Will bots ruin the game? of course not, its optional, the only thing it will do is course people to stop asking for bots here on the forum, and make a LOT of players happy and more likely to put more trust in the next game. (Leave alone making bots for mp is literally childs play for the programmers,
I mean the AI already exists in the game, just a few menu changes and learning the old AI how to use the MP character's,
its what? the work of a few hours/days?)
hell if you need to, charge me for it as a DLC, all that matters to me is that you just do it.
if it keeps going like this then mp will eventually just be completely unavailable to play at all, 30% of the game I paid for just gone.

I remember PC guys uploading vids with bots. You should take a look at the topic below OP, eventually send a message to its creator.
