Definitely support bots, but really want offline splitscreen multiplayer. Having multiplayer only be accessible/required through only a internet connection would really be dissapointing. Having options is always a good thing.

No. No bots. Ever. Bots ruin multiplayer. If you want bots, play the story. I'm sure by the time multiplayer dies down, you'll be tired of the same thing over and over again. And even if you're not, there will be at least four other people who probably will be trying to play multiplayer also.

how could bots possibly ruin multiplayer? They wouldn't do anything but fill a couple spots when your playing with friends and they will give the game longevity.

We already have them in SP why not just have them in MP aswell? Also what about those who don't want to get Mr.over9000 in there game, so they choose to go alone or with a team of bots?

I fully endorse AI bots and true offline play of the "MP" content. It would address most of the issues I have with MP being included in ME3.

Yeah, God forbids that those with no/lousy internet connection can take a part of the multiplayer mode, right?

Or that someone who doesn't want to deal with other people can take part in that content... or that the content is still playable six months after release... or that...

Absolutely 100% endorse this proposal.

Signed x1,000,000

Yes, you read that right... One Million!!!!!

I've been banging on about this incessantly in the ME3 multiplayer thread and now that I'm responsible for several cases of death by eye bleed I want to know that it was all worth it!

There are no downsides to this suggestion but lots of upsides. From the single player perspective, it's an immersion saver and would go some way to reconciling disenfranchised ME supporters. From the multiplayer perspective, an AI squad 'option' will in no way detract from their MP experience and from the Developer/Publisher perspective, such an innocuous and seemingly trivial adjustment could net significant financial rewards.

As it stands, I'm still in two minds about whether I'm willing to conclude my relationship with Mass Effect's universe at the finale of Episode 2 or 3. Ultimately, two factors will decide that outcome.

1. Availability on Steam (as all my other games are on Steam and it would preclude the possibility of being forced to subscribe to Origin) and...

2. The incorporation of 'bots' in the MP 'add-on' as voluntary alternatives to human MP squad mates.

If these two stipulations are met, I will be purchasing the collectors edition (and all associated future DLC's).

I'm for it. If they're going to have MP no matter what I want to be able to get the inevitable MP-achievments without having to buy an xbox gold membership.

I really hope this thread get's the 'official' attention that it deserves... if 8 pages of (mostly) passionate endorsements doesn't constitute a noteworthy petition, I don't know what will!

I understand where you both are coming from, in that case I'd support bots for when you're playing by yourself with no other players. I'm still against the inclusion of bots when playing online with other players.

OP is pushing for having bots that will not carry you. So yes most of the MP will be Online. The bots are there for longevity, fill a spot or 2, and for people without internet connection or XBL. you could still play the game with 4 random people, or 2 people and no bots. Its all about the options.

Just to add my enthusiastic endorsement for bots.

I cannot remember where I mentioned it, but even if Bioware does not provide it, my money is on modders adding them in within a month of release - unless the Dev's intentionally lock out the content.

So, if part time modders can do it - Bioware can. And for all the reasons why this is a good idea (as mentioned by many articulate, passionate other posters), Bioware should.

And if they don't - well, I'll, I'll... I'ii write a very unpleasent, unflattering and maybe even negative post!

While I still hate the idea of multiplayer being shoehorned into ME3, I do support bots for MP. Maybe when all three of my friends that will play ME3 are offline, I won't be forced to go into public lobbies (aka the cesspools), just because I wan't to play a quick horde session.

I support the use of bots in ME3 multiplayer completely. That would be an awesome feature.

For myself, I still wouldn't like it.  But while bots wouldn't be a cure, it would be a decent bandage.

why wouldn't you like having the option to add a couple bots into your party comp if you had open spots?

I'm all about options too, thus enter what I previously said: Bots being available for offline or solo play, online play with other players excludes the inclusion of bots.

Nono, I don't like the idea of mp being in ME3 at all.  But having the option to use bots would make the idea less unpleasant, is all ;)

I'm not ageinst bots....Just questioning the logic of it....

Playing a co-op horde mode alone with bot's makes the game no longer a co-op game, it makes it a survival mode. Playing the game with bots make the chances of beating the mode worse because you working with bots with very limited intelligents. If you want the bots and the horde mode expriance....Just ask for it based on the sp where they already have a proper system in place

You know what'd be even better? Splitscreen. Nothing like saving the galaxy with a friend. Oh wait. There isn't any. Because gamers have no friends except the ones that are on XBL or PSN or whatever, so they couldn't possibly ever think to make something that would allow two people to enjoy a game together.

I'm all for bots.
