So, I'll bet this has already been talked about, but during my "canon" playthrough of ME2, i was planning on staying loyal to my LI from ME1, Ash. I got to the point in all of the conversations where I could turn them down, but... after the suicide mission, while trying to talk to Jack again... somehow I ended up snogging her. And I swear I wasn't drinking! (Well, maybe a little)

I reloaded the save I had before I did it, but i still got the paramour achievement (wish there were achievements like that in real life).

My question is, although it technically never happened in the storyline, since I reloaded, I still have the achievement under the same character.

Anyone think this might cause my Shepard some women issues in ME3, or do you think I'm in the clear with the reload? Or should I do another playthorugh, just to make sure?

It shouldn't cause any problems but i'm still trying to figure out how you accidentally romanced jack since at one point she basically asks you if you want a relationship and the options are yes, no, just sex please

Honestly, so am I. I cut off the romance before with the "not interested" option, but the "i want to talk about us" option stayed there. I guess I got curious to see if I was at the last conversation before the deed or not. Guess I was.

Thanks for the input! i figured I was fine, but I didn't want to have to reply ME2 after I buy ME3 just because of that. I'd be irritated.

You seemed to be worried because you expected the Paramour achievement to disappear when you reloaded. That´s impossible. Once you´ve gained an achievement, it never disappears. Now that you reloaded your game and you kept the Jack romance from happening, you´re still with Ash, but at the same time you keep the Paramour achievement.

I never had that problem in ME2 with any Shepard. It was really close in ME1, though. One certain blue fella didn't quite understand the concept of being friends.

This also works for unlocking Dominate.  Save, kill Samara, get Dominate, reload, kill Morinth, get Reave but keep Dominate.

I the Ash pic in Shepard's cabin is still on the desk, then there's no problem.

You know what?  I can't do it.  Not even if I'd reload immediately after unlocking Dominate.  I cannot do that to Samara, not even once.

Also, given that my canon Shepard romances Kaidan, I find myself unable to cheat on him just to get the Paramour achievement and then reload.  It would just feel so wrong to see his pic face-down on Shepard's desk!  Maybe, one day, I'll play a different Shepard through ME2 and romance someone new.  For now, though, no Paramour achievement for me!

You need to tell Jack no twice. Telling her no once continues the romance (for whatever reason).

Finally! Someone else who cares about the characters as much as I do! lol. I to could not do that to Samara and also could not cheat on Ash to get the Paramour achievement. Just felt... wrong to even think about it to be perfectly honest...

Try making a Renegade character... it easier to betray her to Morinth when your character is a complete and selfish a**hole.

IF there was a Romance ported over from ME 1, there is always a pic of that person on Shepard's desk (assuming that LI is VS, of course). If that pic is Facedown, then there is an active romance going on. If you break off the romance, the pic is returned to normal.

If nothing else, three relationships can be broken and NEVER resumed: Tali, Miranda, and Jack. To break a romance this fully, do 4 loyalty quests: Tali's, Miranda's, Jacks, and LEGION's.

When both Miranda's and Jack's LQs are finished, they get into a biotic fight. If charm/intimidate is not used, all potential romances with the other character is permanently gone (altho Loyalty can be regained in dialogue). To break-off with Jack, side with Miranda, and vice-versa to break off with Miranda.

It's the same with Tali. Side with Legion during their "discussions" in the AI Core, and she can not be romanced.

 I adore your sensitivity to these things, but just close your eyes. Someone wise once said "If I don't see it It's not illegal"

Have someone else do it for you. Queue the game up to the right point, hand the controller or mouse over and go into the next room while someone else does the deed for you.
