Many others and myself have brought the idea up numerous times, even sent messages to devs over it(which I have done) to replace importing DA:O to DA2 due to the issues of data going missing when importing and also for players who no longer have or just don't play DA:O anymore. Also, the DLC should thoroughly cover the events in DA:O which includes the following.

DA:O Main campaign:

*Race, class, and Origin

*Love Interest

*Companion Quests

*Arl of Redcliffe(How whether Connor was saved by sacrificing Isolde, the Circle, or was slain and decide the fate of Jowan)

*The Circle of Magi(Recruiting either Mages or Templars)

*The Urn of Sacred Ashes(Decide to preserve or defile the ashes and also revealing its existence)

*Brecilian Forest(Recruiting either Dalish or Werewolves or whether or not you remove the curse)

*Orzamaar(Preserve or Destroy the Anvil of the Void and Crown either Bhelen or Harrowmont)

*The Landsmeet(Decide to have either Alistair or Anora or both rule Fereldan or if Human noble and decide the fate of Loghain)

*The Dark Ritual(Perform the ritual with Morrigan or have another do it)

*The Final Battle(Sacrifice yourself or another to defeat the Archdemon)

*The Coronation(Decide your boon of choice)

Other DLC's:

*The Stone Prisoner

*Return to Ostagar

*Warden's Keep

Awakening campaign:

*Play as the Hero of Fereldan or the Orlesian Warden

*Recruited Companions and their quests

*Save Amaranthine or Vigil's Keep

*Spare or Kill the Architect

Golems of Amgarrak:

*Hero of Fereldan, Orlesian Warden, or New Pc

Witch Hunt:

*Hero of Fereldan, Orlesian Warden, or New Pc

*Go through the mirror with Morrigan if love interest, stay behind or stab her

So unless you guys have a better idea, I believe this to be the best course of action. If I have missed anything or if there is something that anyone feels that should be in here please make a post and I'll see about putting it up here.

You mean a tool to pick import worldstate options without playing DAO? I wouldn't pay money for that.

People payed for Mass Effect: Genesis, why wouldn't they buy this?

For the record, I like this idea. One problem: Suppose the Warden resurfaces in one of the later games like BioWare has hinted at. If we imported from the comic, what would the Warden look like? Would the comic have a character creation mode for the Warden? Cause that sounds like it would take a lot of data.

Your guess is as good as mine. They might change the Warden's looks since they've changed everyone elses in DA2. Who knows? Perhaps he and Hawke go the same shops; if you get my meaning.

I don't think they can export the Warden's appearance anyway. They changed to character creator for DA 2, not to mention the differences between the elves and dwarves between the two games. If the Warden came back in any official capacity, sans helmet, they would need to be remade.

One problem I see is that you listed out companions quests:

In my first playthough of Origins, I didn't get high enough approval with all my companions to get all their companion quests. So why should a comic, that doesn't give you the ability to spend hours conversing with your companions, give people the ability to do companion quests?

There is a save game generator with all the options

As others have pointed out, this is essentially a save game editor. However, for console players, this would still be a great boon. It might also help smooth over some of the import issues from DAO/DAA into DA2 and beyond.

I personally do not think the money/resources should be spent on making a digital comic, that seems excessive. I would be content with spending 1-5 dollars on an official and well designed save editor that allows us to edit our flags.

Obviously this could be viewed as a tool for people who have never played DAO/DAA to skip those titles, which seems negative. But I think there are probably many of us who have played through DAO/DAA that would get a lot of good use from this.

If nothing else, this might be the most cost efficient, or even profitable way to patch DAO/DAA import bugs.

Rob was quoted at one time or another as potentially saying that something like this was in the works (or was something they want for DA3; it's sometimes hard to parse vague support-speak).

But I imagine it had the same priority as the supposed "next patch" or the high-resolution textures for the first item pack... so I don't even expect it anymore, if that's even what Rob was talking about.

It seems pretty clear that they've already mapped out all the DLC they intend to do and probably have them all in various stages of completion. I'm guessing the only change to their schedule would be if they decline to release something they had previously planned on, not from them deciding to add new projects.

The companions quest shouldn't have an approval system for the comic, they should come up just as easy as those of DA2. The companion quests should be required for the story because of the affect they'll have on the characters and the DA universe as to whether you hardened Alastair and Leliana or if you had killed Flemeth for Morrigan or not.

Fernando Melo has also mentioned on twitter that they can see themselves making this in the future but are busy with everything else.

Who would narrate it, Varic, or Lelliana?
They could also test the waters by using potential V.A's for the warden.

I do see an issue with the Romances though. You only had two options in Mass Effect. But you have three potental L.I for the warden. What kind of situation would you use to pick a LI, out of the three choices? The wardens Journal?

Leliana should narrate it. It makes more sense than Varric.

The romances thing could be handled differently.
For example;
*Leliana's voice* "The warden was facing struggles no mortal should bare, but (s)he had friends, and possibly more..."
Than you choose the what LI you want.

It may sound a little stupid, but I'm a horrible writer, so you get the gist.

I think its a great idea to have Leliana tell the Warden's story in the DLC since she's mentioned having written many tales of the Hero.

It should require an import for that feature to work. Just make the necessary corrections in the event of errors.

So... let me get this straight...

We want Bioware to give budget, time and resources to an online comic while will have negligible profits and plot merit while they are meanwhile creating DA2 DLC, writing DA books, maintaining a DA Facebook/G+ game (Dragon Age Legends) and creating a DA anime?

All this for a franchise whose most recent game (DA2) had one of the worst critical and financial numbers of any in Bioware's recent history?

Be pateint. Bioware has more than enough on their table with ME, DA and the Star Wars MMO. We don't need to begging for more distractions that could make the next DA game completely unplayable.

heres my question though: If it is like the ME genesis wouldn't it only work for those who've never played Dragon age 2? Thus all the people who transfer a character from DA1 to DA 2 won't get much options

Forget a comic, i think a save-game editor or a pre-game plot editor you can optionally edit before starting the campaign would be optimal and a welcomed addition.
