Hey i just started using your mod and noticed that textures are out of place. For instance, when i'm zooming with a sniper rifle, there seems to be a face texture ghost type deal going on.

hit alt enter a couple of times this is a result of TexMod not my mod. It has glitches like this every so often they can be fixed with alt enter. Something we have to deal with until a better program comes along.

Well about ME3...it will be a while before I decide. First I want to okay the game which I'm waiting to do until I'm finished moving. I also want to see what other modders do in the meantime and if they release an official HD texture pack.

Can someone help me please? I am getting this error:

Image IPB

Followed the tutorial steps and even running textmod in admin mode the same happens. :(

Masseffect.exe is already set (by properties) to run in admin mode.

Win7 x64 as my SO.

Make sure LAA is applied to the original masseffect.exe. Also check your antivirus and make sure texmod is allowed. Other than that it looks set up correct.

I had a user with a similar problem a while back and they had to restore the bioengine.ini by deleting it and loading the game/allowing it to create a new one, that fixed their problems and then they went in to make only the ini changes mentioned in this thread and it worked for them. Another user just had steam verify the file integrity and it found errors and repaired them. They were getting crashes to the desktop though, not blue screen requiring a forced restart, but it's worth a shot. Try the mod with a vanilla Bioengine.ini if it works from there, then go back and make the changes listed in this thread. If that doesn't work have Steam check the files.

Tried these and the audio driver suggestions, still no dice.  I even loaded up the game vanilla and made a save past Eden Prime, and that will blue screen as well.

When I get the gumption I'll just download every file separately and try piecemealing them into the game, see if I can find out where it breaks.

Appreciate the help nonetheless, in most of the mods I've used with other games it's been rare to see the creator so active in troubleshooting any issues - it's a welcome touch.

Hello,

First of all, I would like to ask something; is it possible that we get the full N7 breather helmet for Mass Effect? I am talking about the same helmet, but its full version like the one illustrated here: http://images.wikia..../99/N7Armor.png

Secondly, I am experiencing some problems with the mod, that various drivers and driver tweaks made absolutely no difference to it, here they are:

1) Broken textures usually on armors / clothes: http://imageshack.us...6/26534908.png/

2) Sometimes selections on skills / menu / everything that has a button appears like this: http://imageshack.us...2/18567844.png/

3) And I also get broken letters on various situations such as this: http://imageshack.us...7/51224150.png/ but also in dialogues and when I target my teammates, fonts in general.

Is there any possibility that you guys provide me with information on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

So, I used the LAA and the game started after long loading.

But in game, the text is all messed up (with blocks) . Same problem showed by
Fabulist961 above in those screens.

Is this a problem with my HD4870 1gb? Catalyst 12.1 here.

So oddly enough, after downloading them all individually I went to run them all at once to verify the issue still happened.

But it didn't, so I guess I'm good to go. Looks fantastic! Thanks again for the mod and your help CDAMJC!

Ok I am finally home I've been trying to help through my phone but it's just not as good.  The second 2 pics are results of TexMod very common, unavoidable, and fixable by alt enter (they will come back  over time and you will have to repeat alt enter :/),

The first pic with the black squares I addressed in the latest pack over at Moddb, if you have it already (022512Fixed.tpf) try redownloading (sometimes the download gets corrupted slightly) or using the individual files and see if that helps, it has something to do with the texture size on the Normandy uniforms. Again I did address this and it fixed it for others who were having the issue, but every system set up is different so let me know if my suggestions work and we can firther troubleshoot.

As for full face N7, though it would be awesome, it requires model/mesh work which there is no tool like Texmod to import over the original files and we can't legally change+replace the game's files...so I don't see that happening:(.

Thank you for not getting too frustrated it's sometimes hard to know what the problem is without having the set up at you finger tips. I'm glad you got it working and thank you for using and enjoying :)

Well, it was worth it to give it a shot and hope that a helmet model is possible. Too bad Bioware has not released mod tools / SDK for this game, modders could help keep it alive by improving on the game and correcting all errors and bugs Bioware never cared to fix.

The ALT-ENTER fix isn't something that always works for me, I often have to quit the game and re-launch it, and sometimes this doesn't work either; e.g. the black textures on Shepard's clothes in the Normandy almost never go away. In addition redownloding didn't help either.

In any case, thanks for your time once again!

EDIT

This one scared the life out of me:

Haha TexMod causes such a love hate relationship ;)

If alt enter doesn't work try alt tab or anything that will minimize and cause the game to reload the scene that usually fix the glitches for a little while.

thanks for this fantastic mod! i haven't exactly timed it but it seems to take a long time to load the game. something about 1min or more a little more while without using this mod, it takes about a second or two to load it. is there any way to make it load quicker with the mod?

The mod takes long to load because of how TexMod works there is no avoiding the extra load time :/ check out my Moddb tutorial on texmod for a better understanding, if you want to ;)

I have an interesting problem that is stopping me from using texmod with Steam..
After i rename the original .exe > then rename texmod > i launch the game from Steam, which opens Texmod > i select the orignal .exe in Texmod > select your package > click run > it opens another instance of texmod? Can't get the game to launch. Even opening the original .exe just keeps opening Texmod lol.
The only way to fix this is to Chnage Texmod so that it is not called "MassEffect.exe" anymore..which means i can't get this to work with Steam....weird problem huh? hope it hasn't been mentioned yet - I'm being lazy and have only read through half of this long thread sorry.

I'm sure everyone is very busy playing, or crying about the endings at the moment but are there any textures in the works we should know about?

I am having the exact same issue, renamed to masseffectbak.exe and texmod to masseffect.exe and then opens another texmod like you say and on the newly opened texmod if i open the mod from that one it opens mass effect but then it crashes before the loading screen fineshes...dont know what to do :(

If I have ME1 and ME2 on Steam, is it really necessarily to 'trick' Steam to accept the mods?

I play these games on Surround gaming, but I have to use a special program to make everything scale properly. If I change the name of any .exe files, this thing thinks it's running when it's just TexMod

try to rename your program MassEffect.exe, texmod MassEffect1.exe and ME executable MassEffect2.exe.
then launch them in sequence
