I have one big problem with this manupulation:

OS : Windows 7 64 bits

I tried using the "run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (SP3)" and "Run this program as administrator access" but nothing changes.


But otherwise very nice work

PS : Sorry for this rotten english, i using google for translate french to english.

I noticed a strange bug with deffault Kaidan's armor - whenever the camera is furhter than 1-2 m from him his armor (Onyx I light), part by part becames pitch black. If you move e.g. 5m away he looks like a spy :P. But in direct talk (e.g when Alenko dies on Eden Prime) it appears without glitches.
Any way to solve this?

Thanks for your time and effort that you put into this mod. I'm currently replaying ME 1 and this mod makes the game look better.

Anybody here has any ideas of how to fix texmod, so there won't be any mod glitches?

For future reference could you tell us in which .zip each update is placed, it's a little jarring downloading each one and sifting through things we've already downloaded.

In this case each zip I uploaded contained an update or more. I listed the tpfs and what was in each download. though I did have to change the format little to accommodate the upload sizes limit:/. But I'm sorry if it was confusing.

another great update man!

however there is an issue I'm not sure was there in older version or not but I only see now since I tried the DLCs. The hair or head texture of 2 humans (so far) is missing and it is pitchblack on top of their head.

Example follow on the Bring Down the Sky DLC (same with admiral something in Pinnacle Station)

I didn't update any hair or skin on humans with this update, it looks like that weird black shadow/boxes bug that sometimes shows up. I'll have to see if I can reproduce it and then see what I can tweak to make it go away, in the meantime maybe try re-downloading just in case something got corrupted. Also are you in logging mode or package mode?(for me in the past the black squares can show up far more often in logging mode) But again I'll test it and figure it out. Is it only happening in the dlc?

i think its not something that "some times show up" for me since I did 2 separate playthrough doing 2 DLCs and the same thing happened. Just after i posted above images I saw it on one of the NPCs in Feros too.

I am in package mode since I'm too lazy to do the other one :P and yeah I will try to download it again but that will have to wait a bit.

But if it is too much trouble then please focus on something else since I can live with it. It's not that big a deal and you can instead making other parts more detailed :P.

Hi I've just found this mod and followed the instructions to the T, with the new large update, Texmod and the LAA.exe the game launches, however I get this horrible feed back with the audio, I'd eqaute it to screen tearing.. but for sound. Has anyone else had this issue?

Edit: Never mind it was an unrealated issue that just coincided with my using the LAA fix.

Nice work on the textures, Thanks alot!

By sometimes I meant only happens to some people I do realize that for those people its constant. Thats why i want to fix it :). one more question. Are you on ati or nvidia?

I have been using this mod for a few hours , and really , the graphic improvement is really great , looks almost as good as me3 .
You did a real good job , and help us to fix problems , all that on your free time .

ok for a black square fix attempt....try this in the bioengine.ini and see if they go away:


TEXTUREGROUP_Character_Diff=(MinLODSize=512,MaxLODSize=1024,LODBias=0)
TEXTUREGROUP_Character_Norm=(MinLODSize=512,MaxLODSize=1024,LODBias=0)
TEXTUREGROUP_Character_Spec=(MinLODSize=256,MaxLODSize=1024,LODBias=0)

The previous fix maxLODsizes were 512 but seeing as I know they are 1024 in many cases I bumped it up.

I am using ATI RADEON 6990M (mobile card).

Also it is a bit strange that last night when i played the noveria missions (saved that one for last), the texture on Mako was a pitch black and restarting the game did not make it go away. But today I load up the game again and the texture is all well and good! And I did not change anything in between the 2 sessions!

Just adding my appreciation for this mod as well. I'm just starting my first play-through in a long time (nearly a year), as I have been wanting to replay the whole trilogy since I finished ME3. I have been re-tweaking my game to get my flycam controls and everything all set up after having lost my old config files, so I'm still on the Normandy at the very beginning, but even there, some differences are obvious, like uniforms and the shadows. Very nice.

Looking forward to seeing more and more of the game looking great as I continue (on what will be my 8th play-through).

finished the game last night after applied your fix. There is nothing noticable although the texture on the Mako disappeared again while on Ilos.

Its unlikely I will make another playthrough (since I just played to get the right save file), but if you need me to test anything, please let me know and I would be more than glad to do it :D. Cheers!

i would suggest the smaa injector instead of fxaa injector
almost no blur on the textures
