Just wanted to say thank you OP for your hard work making and releasing this.  It looks amazing and has added some replayability to ME1 for me.  I'm really enjoying going through the game again.
My own texture improvements are for the female PC specifically, and I thought I'd share here, for others who might be interested. Since texmod loads in priority of order, I just put these above your tpf.

Mass Effect HD Face Texture

Mass Effect Natural looking Eyelashes

Mass Effect HD Eyes

Thank you SO much for this mod - it's made such a huge difference in the way my fSheps look. It's amazing how the little details really help.

Lookin better everyday, I'm surprised how quickly this because very popular on Modb.

I'm surprised aswell it gets a ton of hits and has quite a few followers, I guess a lot of people were looking for a mod like this. It's great to get it out there, I'm really glad I was told about Moddb.

Any chance you could make the geth look closer to the geth in ME3?

I love the work that has been put into these new textures!  I'm having a wee problem, though: has anyone else seen any UI corruption while using this in ME1?  I've played through ME1/2/3 multiple times without a problem, so I know it has something to do with the addtion of TEXMOD in general or these textures in particular.

I'm using: Win7x64, NVIDIA drivers, LAA (got an "Out of Virtual Memory" error in ME1 if I didn't), and CDAMJC's latest FULL texture package (haven't tried the smaller "32bit" version yet).

I've tried completely shutting down the game (including TEXMOD) and restarting, but the problem always returns.

Examples:

Text corruption at bottom-right

Corruption in the radar and the repair/omnigel meter

Color/background corruption at the bottom

Kaelef the texmod causes that problem and that's the only downside to using it.

This is a very known issue related to Texmod. Given that its developers stopped the project in the beta phase, that's something everyone will have to deal with if we want to enjoy these improvements.

When you have any glitch in the game, simply Alt+Tab.

I haven't tried to use any mods in ME1, but the Garris mod looks like it's almost mandatory, he looks so messy on PC. Is there a mod for an improved Heavy Onyx N7 armor? I would love to see one.

Also, and this may be in the wrong thread, but I cant Get TexMod to work. Here is what I do.

1. I have MassEffect.exe renamed to MassEffectoriginal.exe.
2. I have TexMod renamed to MassEffect.exe.
3. In STEAM, I click on the PLAY button for Mass Effect, a box ops up saying "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time."
4. I launch TexMod (renamed MassEffect.exe) directly, select the MassEffectoriginal.exe (the real MassEffect.exe), then I select the Package FULLPACK042012 (I have all three of these files in Binaries directory), then I click Run, and again, the STEAM - ERROR comes up, "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time."
5. Clicking on MassEffectoriginal (the real MassEffect.exe) directly in the Binaries directory also brings up the STEAM - ERROR.
6. Going back to the Mass Effect directory and using the MassEffectLauncher shows the Play button to be greyed out, cannot launch game from Launcher.7. Renamed MassEffectoriginal.exe back to MassEffect.exe, and the game was able to launch, minus the mod pack.

There, I have given an exact, step by step of what I have done, have I missed anything? Any idea why it won't work?

It sounds set up correctly, make sure antivirus isn't blocking TexMod and also try not running it as an administrator as that has worked for some people. When you run the game through steam TexMod should be what opens, and then from there you can run the game, so I think it's being blocked somehow, but I'm not sure. Any one else have any advice?

Yep, I am finishing up Tali as can be seen in the previous posts, also taking a re-look at Garrus and I may do some more armors.

I will try, but this texture is tricky.  Exctract it or log it to see what I mean. But I may be able to get better normal maps going for sure. I will be looking into this, and I'll update with how I make out.

I'm back from a long ass break. I annihilated ME3 up the ***hole when it came out. Very excited to see how you improved the textures. And here I am thanking you again for possibly the 6th time. Thank you very much for putting time into this, and sharing it with us.

Hello CDAMJC,

Thank you very much for your work on this texture pack. I'm starting a new playthrough of the series and this definitely makes the early games more enjoyable.

However, I'm having trouble getting the FXAA Injector tool to work. I believe I have the files in the right directory (Mass Effect\\Binaries), but the game crashes whenever I run it. I've verified that this is due to the FXAA tool and not TexMod. Any troubleshooting tips?

Sorry if this has already been asked - it's a long thread.

EDIT: I found a fix - running Mass Effect as an administrator works. I'll have to see what's going on with my PC security settings.

Hello OP,

Will you be updating your packs on ModDB after making these additions?

Cheers!

Yes I will, it's the only place I can host the full pack and I always update Moddb and SBN at the same time when there is an update.

Anderson looks good, Tali looks good and garrus mostly looks alright but the blue looks kinda dirty to me.

Yeah Garris is still very wip I was trying different metal textures for bump mapping. I agree with what you are saying thanks for confirming my feelings about it I'll work some on subtlety with him.

If you take a closer look to the armor texture you'll notice there were supposed to be more glowy parts.

I drew out the lines as best as I could, here my files if you want to take a look.

Here's an example of it being used on this armor

Off topic but it's too bad Garrus can't wear this heavy armor Posted Image

Wow you're right I wonder why they never added them to the vanilla texture, I will add the lights they never used like you have above, it looks much better :) And I am going to get that armor to look more metallic even if it kills me.

I was just about to start up my me1 LP again when I came across this stuff. I am definitely using these to make it look a lot better. Will put link in video description if that's all right.

Yeah I'm pretty happy with now:) and thanks again for the great observation of the lights not being implimented when I think they originally intended.
