That'll be excellent. What's even cooler is that two of the only three "bad" textures that were in the original game that stuck out to me were the geth ship. Udina's hair, and the reporter's incredibly poorly textured robot. And you're about to release a pack to fix almost all of those.CDAMJC wrote...
I am glad to hear this! Thanks for you appreciation. And with the new pack that occasional crash should be gone
It's just nice to play without being like, "Wow that Tali neck texture is the worst thing ever."
You should consider posting this in the Mass Effect 3 fan creations to get it more views and traffic.

And yeah, thanks for getting that dinky robot - worst texture I've seen in a game since the N64. :V

I think I found a way to make the faces more realistic and less shiny/plastic on all humans in the game, so as I apply this technique and test it will take a little longer for the release, but hopefully it will be worth it.

Just curious, the last pack I used was "042012" and the newest one has +120mb more filesize.
(edit: found something)
Thanks again for this.
Oh, by the way, do you have this the other way around?

To be specific, it kept crashing so I set up the LAA. Then, it worked for me the first time after I initially set up the LAA. Then, never worked again, just kept crashing in the same spot. And I set up the LAA everytime before restarting the game to try again...
Or, maybe I am pointing the LAA to the wrong file? I am playing through Steam. I selected the masseffect.exe (texmod) file, rather than the original masseffect.exe for the LAA. Is this correct?
Or... I think I know what it is. I tweaked the bioinput.ini putting in a line of code. I did this after successfully running the game with texmod/fullpackage/LAA the first and only time. After I tweaked the bioinput.ini, I started crashing. Could that be causing the crash despite the LAA being used? If so, that stinks.
Oh, I just read the last few pages...I'm using the full package mod, and you seem to say it has been crashing for you as well? So it's a known issue to suddenly not be working.. ? If thats the case, then I guess I'll just wait patiently for the next release/updated package. Sorry, I'm so clueless when it comes to these things

No, don't touch the Texmod program that you renamed to "masseffect.exe" but LAA the "~masseffect.exe" or whatever you renamed the original one to. Texmod only "injects" the textures to the original game exe, so that should be LAA'd.Meix wrote...

Update on upcoming release:
I have a few more things to do:
1) re-texture reporter robot
2) Create a version that is 2 gigs of ram friendly and 512mb graphics ram friendly as the new performance pack.
3) Upload the new textures to sbn and moddb.
I hope to have this all done on Saturday.

Change log:
Added a new description to the readme (which is now included with the full pack):
System Requirements. For the Original Full Pack (HQ): 2.5 or more gigs of RAM and 750MB or more VRAM
For the Performance Pack (Low Resource Edition) : 2 or more gigs of RAM and 512MB or more of VRAM
For Individual files: As you pick and choose the individual files as opposed to the full pack requirements will vary depending on how many textures you choos to load, but should not exceed the requirements of the Original full Pack (HQ).
Re-formatted everything to DDS format.
The performance pack now looks MUCH better than before and uses less resources.
New texture additions:
Udina and the council's outfits all updated to much higher detail.
All human faces have been made to look less shiny/plastic.
Udina's face
Chakwas' Face
Kaidan's hairline was reversed on the normal map so the hairs on his forehead caused indentation rather than popping out (Fixed)
Geth Ship re-textured
Wrex (added more detail)
Re-worked Saren and his normal maps (again)
Re-textured the reporter you can punch in the face (I forget her name lol)
Many Many more subtle quality tweaks and improvements!!
As for the reporter robot I have no play through save near Noveria so I'll have to play up to that point which is fine because I plan on re-texturing the Rachni and the Queen. So I plan to have those in the next update.
Once these are authorized by Moddb I ask if people could please give me feed back on performance so that my system requirement estimations can be validated. Thanks in advance for the support and for all the support up to this point from everyone
Original Pack (HQ)

Performance Pack (Low Resource)

Also if anyone is getting "page_fault_in_nonpaged_area" BSODs and have an X-Fi using hardware sound you need the Oct11 beta drivers. Spent ages figuring this out as it only occurred when using the mod. classic creative:blink:

Odd question: is it possible to recode your "alliance blues" that Shepard wears around the Normandy for ME2? It's unlockable as a casual outfit but looks rather bad given it's the default texture.
