Those guys are both great and have done great work, I think this is probably the most comprehensive and involved of all the rehauls though. Not that a "competition" really matters too much, all the mods really make us all winners. >_>
Odd question: is it possible to recode your "alliance blues" that Shepard wears around the Normandy for ME2? It's unlockable as a casual outfit but looks rather bad given it's the default texture.

Sure, but how do you unlock the ME1 outfit? Is this with Coalesced editor?

I am going to have to learn how to get these mods running on my PC.  Your work looks a lot better than the old game.  I'd like to see new life breathed into ME1

Let me know if this works for you - I think the patches can screw it up, now that I think about it again. I may have used a different alteration to the ini. Might update this.

EDIT: Yeah, it is different. For 1.02, under [SFX.Game.SFXPawn_Player], you can just add

http://community.wiz...num=1#523379203

Posted it in a random place to not crap up your thread with a huge file name descriptor.

I believe the navy blues is id 10, since it's the 10th item in casual armors without Kasumi's outfit:

CasualAppearances=(Id=10,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_CTH_R.CTHb.HMM_ARM_CTHb_MDL",MaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_HMM_ARM_CTH_R.CTHb.HMM_ARM_CTHb_MAT_2a",Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_CTH_R.CTHa.HMF_ARM_CTHa_MDL",FemaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_HMF_ARM_CTH_R.CTHa.HMF_ARM_CTHa_MAT_7a"),PlotFlag=-1)

I'm not 100% positive because I haven't gotten a chance to test it, as I've got to run out the door for a wedding (not mine).

Ok, I dont currently use the editor,  I will, but to save time I found the textures on the citadel and logged them and created a tpf for the casual blues for you to test out. I'm pretty sure I logged the correct textures.  Get it here: http://social.biowar...ect/7907/#files

I also have updated all of the ME2 versions of my files to the most current versions (which we see in the ME 1 updated texture Mod latest version) and they can be found at the above link as well.

Finally I have also updated my ME1 Liara in ME2 with the version form the ME1 updated texture mod I know most people love LOTSB Liara but I'm just stuck on her ME1 look.

It's almost like magic but all of my textures just look nicer in ME2 than in ME1 even though they are identical files. The soft shadows and updated lighting engine really work wonders. I'll post some screenies soon.

Ohhh, wow! Awesome! Thanks so much. I really appreciate you doing my request.

Also: This is perfect timing, I'm just in the middle of a ME2 playthrough! It's like finding 20 bucks wrapped inside a 20 dollar bill. :V

EDIT: Just ran the game. Blues look great, quick screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/rnkMi.jpg

Oh sorry for the confusion the original exe is the one you renamed. When you open TexMod it asks for an exe "Target application" click it and to use the browse button to find the exe you renamed, choose it and it should be all set.

When you launch through steam it should open Texmod because you have renamed TexMod to Masseffect.exe, from there you should be able to point TexMod to the renamed Masseffect.exe and then it should work. My only thoughts as to why it might not be working is a typo in the rename or if you do not have windows set to show known file type extension such as: .txt, .exe, .bmp etc...

Other than that I'm not sure. Does it allow you to open TexMod through steam by choosing Masseffect?

I renamed the exe wrong lol.

But now i have a new problem. I get a runtime error. Game hangs.

Run time error is fixed by applying LAA patch to the original Masseffect.exe here: http://www.moddb.com...d/downloads/laa

This allows ME to use more than 2 gigs of ram even though its a 32-bit app.

It takes a few minutes to load TexMod is slower with ATI cards for some reason so if you have one give it 5-10 minutes. Once loaded though the game should run as normal. I am sorry for all these inconveniences but its the only way to mod the graphics in unreal games because they are locked down we can't replace files, but with TexMod we can load files on top of the game. This is why the RAM usage and boot time are high. But its all we have to mod the game graphically. If there was another way beleive me I'd use it.

Yeah for some reason those don't use my Re-textures I may tackle the holographic textures in the future, but luckily many many npc's do use the solid textures, including Liara when you first run into her.
