DepthBias=0.030000 that should restore the absence of facial shadows.
Thanks, I hope to upload them soonish? I am still working on a few textures, right now I'm redoing the scientists uniforms because they need some love and finding all color variants of NPC clothing and trying to make them cleaner. Also I am going to re-texture the VI on the citadel, Salarian faces, and I think I found a glitch on Noveria with the Turian faces on the guards, they are strangely blacked out on the bottom half. But underneath this is a nice pattern, so I think it's unintentional and I'm going to play with transparency to see what they may have been going for.

EDIT: Oh, and yeah - that robot's in ME2, so you could put that in your ME1 textures port later.

On the first page you have lightmap pictures, mine still looks ugly. Im sure i done all the require tweaks.

Why does it say the latest version was from febuary 2012.
Hmm the February date is when I first made the link at moddb.com the file name should tell you the date, it should say: fullpack081812.zip
As for the light maps, on the Citadel and Normandy they should be all redone, if you are on Noveria Feros or Ilos, I didn't get to those yet. If you are on the Citadel or Normandy and have loaded the fullpack, somethings not loading right? Are you seeing the mod work at all? Quick checks are film grain, Garrus, and Tali. If they still look like mud its not working.
just in case here is the most recent pack download link:

CDAMJC: Could you put up a full pack for your updated ME2 textures? I've had a bit of a performance hit in ME2 since all the files were split up, think I'm almost at the point where I've got Texmod processing too many individual files. (At a certain point, it'll just black screen on me like it does in ME3 if I try to use every gun retexture individually.)
EDIT: Oh, and yeah - that robot's in ME2, so you could put that in your ME1 textures port later.
Yeah I'll upload it to Moddb and post the link. The performance will most likely be worse than the old pack as I am using some higher res textures than before, and there are simply more being loaded than before. That said I really didn't see a frame drop so if you have Nvidia card I think it'll be fine. But with all the mods out for MassEffect2 I can see how TexMod might be overwhelmed. For my personal use in ME2 I use tpf extract for all the mods I like and then create a texmod.log and make one big "fullpack". Oh and I'll throw in the robot too

I'm using an Nvidia and have pretty good specs all around - it's nothing really bad, just the occasional weird drop in a cutscene or something. Don't mind if the performance is worse because the quality is better - just a hunch on my part because I simply notice the more individual files, the crappier tex mod runs.
I actually tried that before, using tpf extract and texmod.log, and it turned out insanely weird. Usually I'm decent with messing around with mods - maybe I ought to try again. Fullpacks are nicer.
Thanks for the robot, by the way.
EDIT: Yeah, I have at least 50 mods. That may have something to do with it.

I write here to tell you that I appreciate your work, it has totally improved my ME1 experience. Before using your mod I thought that I'm done with ME1, and that in spite of it's great story and everything I wouldn't be able to stand it's outdated graphics. But with your mod, it turns out to be not bad at all. I had some issues with you previous releases, but that last one, with DDS textures, works great and textures load really fast so I have no problems during the cut scenes as I did before. Thanks again, and by the way 08.18.12 was my birthday so your new release happens to be a great birthday present for me. Hooray!

Great news. This is what I was looking to hear. Less glitches and better performance with the dds format. And you're welcome and belated happy birthday. Thank you for your kind words, feedback, and using the mod exactly for the reasons I made it

I didn't have problems so much in cutscenes but I got a significantly larger amount of graphical errors in Mass Effect 1 than 2 - nothing alt tab didn't fix. I wonder if the new fixes and file formats would have fixed that minor issue.
I find there are more Texmod glitches in ME1 aswell but now that I know the formats are the same, dds, I think it might be the number of textures redone in this mod or just that Texmod is less accurate with the ME1 engine. I think it streams textures different than ME2, maybe that's it? Thank goodness for alt tab though.

Anyway, I was wondering if you had the last download of your fullpack? I'm thinking the current one is probably fine but I've been getting more errors on cutscenes (which I usually don't care about, but I don't want ot screw up the story for her) and I want to see if using the old file would help or if I just got unlucky repeatedly. Test it to see if it's a new error.

I am currently working on the scientist textures because I missed some variants the first time around. So when I'm done I'll also upload them for ME2.

That's probably true - and no worries about the old pack. I agree with your observations about frame stutter and weird black box-ness. Your conjecture is probably correct.
Ah, cool. Thanks on the scientists.
