Thank you mate.

Of course your mod is prolly going to condemn me to hours redoing ME1 screenshots with a much better quality, so it's a mixed blessing. :-D

No problem, and thanks. I would hold of on the screenshots though, I have serious plans to add the quality I'm doing with Saren to garrus and N7 armor, well a bunch of textures really.  The latest Saren is not available yet, and the old one I did in the available  pack is ok, its better than vanilla but not as nice as what I'm working on now. It's been a learning experience doing this mod the past year and I plan to get it as nice as possible.  Thanks again for yor support :)

The poorest ME1 screenshots I need to replace feature female human Heavy and Medium Colossus armour.

Since I can't download right now to check directly - how mature are these in your current pack ?

Thanks.

Actually I haven't done any human Colossus armor :/. I have only done the N7 light medium and heavy male and female. This mainly due to RAM constraints from TexMod and the pure number of armors in the game. Once I finish with all main characters and NPC's and see where RAM usage is at, I will look into adding more armors.

Hey, CDAMJC! Just wanted to say thank you for the great work.

I am one of those (few, maybe?) who hated not just the ending of ME3, but practically almost everything beyond the original. I've been coming from time to time to see how mods for the original progress. Once you've finished with this mod, and if a couple of others (like better lighting/effects) are also available, I'll replay one of my favorite games ever. So, thank you!

I have to say that compared to the very first textures you've done there's a definite improvement. Thumbs up! Looking forward to the new screenshots! :)

So here's somthing I found out Posted Image

Dunno if you can fix with a texture change or it may be a mesh mistake which I know you wont be able to fix.

Just a few tweaks away from ready, unless people want blood?

I will look into it, I've never noticed this before.

This mainly due to RAM constraints from TexMod and the pure number of armors in the game.

I don't know if what I do is representative, but in ME2 I usually select the textures I'll need before launching the game (the squad I've decided to use, basically). This limits loading times and seems to be the only way to work around RAM constraints.

And in ME1 I think that a bunch of people, like me, only use certain types of armour (Scorpion early on, Colossus later on, Rage for Wrex) which have much better characteristics for their rank than the rest.

Hope that helps.

Saren looks great, I personally am cool without blood.

One thing though - his right arm texture...looks swollen? I think that's partly the model.

Also, more armors would be neat, but I understand that's a crapton of work and it would require you to like make smaller optional add-on packs and why its not a priority.

Great work, CDAMJC. Do you think it would even be possible to have some better hair textures? For example something with the same textures as the ones in ME3, so that ME1 hair doesn't look so plastic-like?

Thank you! To answer your question, yes and no. I am going to redo the hair textures, but I cannot redo the hair meshes (polygons) because there is no way to mod them. So I think the result will be better har strands and textures on the meshes, but the meshes will still look somewhat like a plastic mold. But I'll try to get it as nice as possible.

All right thanks a lot. Your work is much appreciated and it makes playing the best Mass Effect game even more impressive.

If only there was some way to update the Unreal Engine they used at the time. I'd love to see the improved lighting in such a case.

I think its about ready for release. Thoughts/suggestions? I have added cracks and decay to the armor in places that I think would see action and at the joining of pipes and armor to make the reaper implants looked forced and harsh. I wanted a little more grunge to him to stay true to the in game concept while also removing the blood because it just looked bad and made no sense. Turians have blue blood, so why is he covered in red blood? Has he been massacring humans? If so who because they don't mention it. Anyhoo sorry to ramble my justifications. Please let me know what you think and I will release sometime in the next 24 hours.

Maybe I'm the noob, but I can't download the HQ pack, it says there aren't any mirrors available.
What should I do?

This keeps happening to some and its unsettling because for me the link always works. I wonder if Gamefront doesn't allow access to some regions? Where are you downloading from, if I may ask?

I'm from Hungary, but that shouldn't be a problem, I have downloaded stuff from there in the past.

Very strange, I don't know any other sites that will allow free hosting of files this size. I tested it again at work just now and its working, so hopefully it's just down temporarily for you.  I tried with internet explorer and google chrome. Both browsers sent me to gamefront and from there I could download. I tried logged in and not logged in at Moddb and the gamefront link worked, then when I click on mirrors they are also woking.  So I'm not sure what's going on. I hope its resolved for you soon though.

Also try logging in to Moddb first, then clicking the download button and use the mirrors link next to the gamefront link. That should give you more options.
