Just food for thought, seeing that in ME3, wrexs Merc armor is some what shiney, is there any way to audjust Wrex ME1 spec map to show this same effect?

Perhaps, the armor depicted here looks the same or at least simlar to the mercenary heavy armor, I have only textured the light version.  I'll see what I can do :)

It's pretty much the same in me3 except the texture's rearranged and more detailed. :P

After MUCH work I got the left (ME3) over to the right (ME1). The model is very similar so it works in game, I did not do high res yet, this was just to get the pixels aligned and the colors correct so I can edit from here:

Looks like this in game:

So it should be shiny in game for you :)

It is far from done, but I thought I'd give you an update on the heavy Krogan Mercenary armor based on ME3

I know you don't plan on doing all the armor's yet but I had a go at converting the Krogan Battlemaster Armor from ME3.

Note: only worked on half of it for just an example.

Now the only time you see this armor is in multiplayer which you can unlock to play and get the texture or extract from another player playing as one.

Very cool.  Was this a 1:1 coversion? Or did you need to re-rig the pieces and change the colors like I had to with the heavy Merc armor?

It's all moved around and the helmet is part of the ME3 set so I separated them for ME1. The colour I havn't changed since it would take longer and it was only an example, it's supposed to be black by default.

To save me some time I got the textures from here (scroll down) :-http://social.biowar...dex/9735492/100

Btw how did you change the green to red without it going awful?

Alot of work :P.    I had to transform many parts just to get them to line up once that was achieved, I made everything black and white, then colorized to red, then applied hue layers for non-red parts, and finally burned darker areas of red to the right value.

I am like, in love with your Wrex. I have never found a krogan so beautiful before.

Joker's face and beard...gives me this kind of uncanny valley effect? I'm not sure how to put it but it jumps out at me very strikingly. Someone better with looking at things might explain it better.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning next? More squadmates/important Normandy people?

Thank you for the kind words on Wrex, I wanted to give hime some love, but he is a really hard character to re-texture because I didn't want to lose any original details.

About Joker, do you mean its bad or bothers you in some way? This is the hardest re-texture I've done and beards are near impossible for me but I can keep working on it if people don't like it.  I would recommend trying it ingame though, I find I like it much better in game than the screenshots.

Right now I'm about to release Sheploo, and then it's on to Kaidan. After that hmmm...armors and uniforms I think.

I'm not sure how to exactly describe what I'm noticing - the beard *itself* is fine, I'll try it in-game as you suggest and get back to you. Might be one of those "looks better in motion" things.

Ah, OK. I asked because you've pretty much tempted me into going through Mass Effect 1 again, and I was going to wait if you had a planned update for Tali, wasn't sure if you considered that texture fine as is because there isn't a facial texture you'd need to update. If it's Shepoo -> Kaidan -> armors/uniforms, I'm gonna go ahead and start beating up fools with Garrus and Wrex. >_>

EDIT: Loaded Joker up in-game. It does look better than it does in the screenshots, I don't get the same "hrm" effect as I do from the screen capture. What I might have been noticing was just ME1's lighting and junk..

Haha I forgot about her...oops I am in the middle of a retexture of her, I just need to finish modifying my previous metal re-textures and I'll have a release, it won't be too major but I have changed the fabric material to a more subtle one, and I'm working on her alternate armors because they seem to be in high demand.

It was probably a bad thing I actually emitted a "Yaaaaay!"

And alternate armors? Excellent!

Damn, that was quick.

Looks really good!

I also can't unsee the orange/blue thing they went for in the backgrounds/lighting of ME1 after staring so much at Joker's beard/this. -_-

http://www.moddb.com...start/40408/all has a list of mirrors, if you mean the main texture pack.
