Thank you so much for this, the horrid textures we were stuck with were the only thing I really disliked about ME, and now thanks to your hard work I love it all :)
Thank you very very much, very much appreciated!

Thank you for your appreciation, it's why I do this. ;)

I'm not quite sure you need to redo talis face within the mask, it does look a tad hideous.

Haha! Ok, I tried to clean her face up and make here eyes fully white, but I'll try it with out the full white eyes and post some pics. Some specifics would be helpful :). Is it the eyes that are bothering you?

Pics updated, hopefully that fixed it?

The mod looks absolutely fantastic, but I'm having some issues getting it to run. I've got the Steam version of ME1, and while I did do the steps for getting it to work, (re-naming TexMod, renaming the ME1 .exe file, moving the renamed TexMod folder into Binaries, and then running the program by running ME1 normally from Steam), I'm still seeing no differences. This is the only texture mod I'm running, and I've modified bioengine.ini correctly as far as I can tell. Any ideas? I'll admit that I'm pretty new to using TexMod, so I may have made a stupid mistake somewhere.

In any case, any help in getting these super-pretty textures running would be great.

I have one idea. Since you moved the TexMod folder, were the textures (.tpf file(s)) also moved? If so, load TexMod and try re-browsing  for the .tpf(s) and re-select it/them.  I've had to do this before when I move files because TexMod does not update the directory, it just caches the original time it was loaded, so if you move it there will be no error message and you just won't see the difference because nothing actually gets loaded eventhough it showed the mod in the drop list.  Also a couple more thoughts, to see the mod the game needs to be set to max detail in the in game options menu and make sure you are launching the game in package mode with TexMod. If this doesn't help PM me and we can troubleshoot.

And just incase something went wrong during set up, go here and look under "steam users": http://social.biowar...8/index/5314761 he gives a good description on how to set it up.

It started working, quite literally moments before I exited out of the game and checked to see if you replied (thanks for the speedy reply, by the way!). Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what changed. I renamed the Mass Effect 1 original EXE to ut3.exe (based off of some issues I'd seen with other graphical tweaks), I tried re-finding the .tpf files, and I restarted Steam. It started working after all that. One of those things started helping, in any case, and the new textures look great. From what I've read on other forums, it was most likely something to do with a combination of Steam being weird and the moved .tpf files.
Once again, thank you for the quick response, and thanks for the fantastic new textures!
:o

Man, the new retextures are simply outstanding! Fantastic quality!

Maybe Ashley/Kaidan higher-res textures, too? ;)

Thanks, I'm learning more as the project continues and I really want to keep getting better as a texture modder.  About your question...I just may be looking into that:innocent:

downloaded all the textures, set them in the game. and then, in the missions in Mako, have appeared in the interface artifacts. wonder what exactly the set of their causes.

Yes this is sadly an occasional result of TexMod itself and it's totally random when it appears. I've seen it in ME1 and ME2. Usually entering a new area or menu, or alt-tabing will reset the textures and it eventually goes away. If you haven't already, try using the one full pack from the mediafire link.  In my experience I see the artifacting lesswhen I have fewer tpf files loaded, but it could just be my imagination. As far as I know when using TexMod these occasional glitches are unavoidable.

Good work so far CDAMJC. Mind if I ask something though? Any chance you'll get around to doing something to FemShep or at least the hair/faces for the female human characters/NPCs. Some of them in vanilla just look godawful. It needs the CDAMJC touch. :)

Just a personal favor to ask, when packaging the garrus face & armor re-texture, if it's possible for them to be packaged separately as I'm a lot of us are running the Garrus ME1 face replacement found in JeanLuc761 modding thread & would like to avoid a conflicting or overlapping textures, thanks.
