So does this new pack contain the ME3-to-ME1 Anderson and Keeper's or are they upscaled ME1 textures?
Yep everything I've shown screens for with some minor improvements I didn't post screens of.

This new update is fantastic, especially like the updates to custom Shepards. Finally the shaved head hair option isn't just a receding hairline. If only there were versions of that for ME2 and 3 as well.
I'm glad you like it

Anderson's uniform was changes so that I could make him actually black like he is in Mass Effect three. I added white gloves and collar like that of a Navy Officer.

I originally played ME on Xbox and decided to take my next play-through on PC, when I saw this mod, it was a must have. Followed all instructions with downloading Texmod, applied the LAA patch. Put the full pack in and hit run. Everything still stays as the Vanilla textures. Could there be something Herp Derp that I am doing?
unfortunately the mod is not as simple to install as just running texmod and LAA, you also have to apply a few texture lod tweaks. There are step by step instructions in the first post on this forum, just follow them like a check list and everything should work. Let me know if you need more help

BranchingPCFCommon.usf,
BranchingPCFModProjectionPixelShader.usf,
BranchingPCFProjectionPixelShader.usf.
Copy these three files from ME2 shaders directory, into the ME1 shaders directory and overwrite (of course back up your 3 original files in case you don't like the results.)
Using these 3 files from ME2 and following bioengine.ini tweaks, I got some pretty nice facial shadows without the spray can effect.
Bioengine.ini settings:
ShadowFilterRadius=5.000000DepthBias=0.012000MinShadowResolution=32MaxShadowResolution=4096
screens:

If you want to try this shadow method feel free but remember to delete the local shader cache for the new shaders to get loaded. Feel free to let me know what you think.

Wow looks a lot better than the default shadows. It is possible for you to release these shadow apart from the whole pack of textures replacement ?
Actually if you own mass effect 2 just do a drag and drop, clear the shader cash, and apply the bioengine.ini tweaks, no textures required. You can have these shadows in less than 5 minutes.

Done all this, and still nothing...
lol I've been trying with this for 3 days now, may have to give up! I don't understand haha
Now I get this when trying to run the pack. The game still loads though.

Wait, can't we do the same with the MAss effect 3 Shader ? So we can have them in Mass effect 1 and 2 ?
Yeah that was the first thing I thought of, unfortunately ME3 is completely different and heavily modded from default unreal engine 3 by Bioware to get the game to look as nice as it does. Those files don't exist in ME3

Where is the local shader cache located?
Its in Mydocuments\\Bioware\\Engine I think. Try all of the folders in the Bioware folder, one of them has it, I'm away from my home computer right now. I'll update when I get home.
Also you can use the MassEffectconfig.exe. Under the repair section is an option to delete local shader cache. That should work as well.

Well I've never seen that error before, please post your system specs, version of Mass effect (origin, steam, cd, or other digital download) and I'll see what might be going wrong for you.

Well it only did it when I had the "Liara LotSB face" mod in the list beforehand. Otherwise it wouldn't.CDAMJC wrote...

I deleted both your mod and that one and re-downloaded them. I got that pop up again with your pack this time. Today I started it up with just yours and even with the Liara mod and it never happened. Odd.. Yet it could still happen again. But even so, your mod isn't working. It's kind of frustrating. I can't tell if the Liara mod is working as I'm not up to that part yet on this PC play-through. I'm also using a disc version.
But are these the specs you're after?

Looks good. Does the mod take a long time to load, or does it go right into the game?
Based on what you've said so far it sounds like TexMod isn't working at all. As for the error message about a winmm.dll has to do with installers, so that is very wacky and should not come up while running texmod as it doesn't install anything .
Tips:
Makesure you are pointing TexMod to MassEffect.exe and not Masseffectlauncher.exe. The cd version does not require any run arounds like steam or Origin so there is no need to rename anything and no need to create a .bat file.
Place TexMod into the Mass Effect Biaries folder, run it, navigate to Masseffect.exe also in the binaries folder, select your tpf files make sure they are not still in .zip, and run.
The mod should sit on a black screen for several minutes before the game loads. If you are still seeing some vanilla textures that should be modded make sure to apply the Bioengine.ini tweaks listed in the original post.
if it crashes on the blank screen, for vista follow this fix to allow more RAM usage that allows LAA to work:
"Vista x86 (32bit) users only
Now we need to make Windows Vista x86 (32bit) ready to support more than 2 GByte.
Open a command prompt with Administration rights. You find it under "Programs->Accessories->Command prompt" click right and select "run as administrator".
Enter "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 3072" (without quotes) in the command window and press enter.
After that restart Windows"
This has worked for many people, it seems to be only a vista issue, but again it's only needed if you experience a crash during the black screen, which lasts for several minutes.
Please let me know if any of this is helpful and I'll see what else I can think of if not.
