Hey, this is probably really stupid, but I downloaded the game through Steam and I can't find the Config folder anywhere... Anyone got any ideas? I've tried searching for it but there are a hell of a lot of config folders on my PC :S

edit : found it.  It's at C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Mass Effect\\BioGame\\Config and the file is called "DefaultEngine.ini".

However, TexMod won't load the full pack tpf. It's loading other mods I've found, just not yours...

that's the DEFAULT config folder, where the game will take the ini file the first time you play
but the actual config file that is stored in your Documents > Bioware

Yeah, I see that now. I was trying to mod before I'd actually played it :P

Got any ideas about the TexMod issue?

Are you sure you apply LAA patch?

1.Yet check this again. Make sure that the status of exe file in LAA is "TRUE".
2.Also, probably tpf file corrupted, verify size - 847 Mb (889 012 537)
3. You need at least 2.6 Gb free RAM to play with the mod, do you have it? Try setup windowed mode in game, then open task manager, then start game with texmod, and follow the process "MassEffect.exe" in task manager - may be not enough memory.

1. I've triple checked, it's definitely patched with LAA.
2. The file itself is 868,177 kb, but the zip it was in is 847 Mb, so I assume that's alright?
3. I haven't actually had the chance to use the mod yet, so I don't know. I'm loading TexMod through Steam as it says, selecting the MassEffect executable (in Binaries) and then the mod tpf. Other, smaller mods (like HD eyes etc) will load, but not this one. So I haven't actually been able to apply it yet.

Thanks for the help btw

First set "windowed mode" in game settings. And that's video of what I asked to check - http://www.twitch.tv...plz/b/405476497
As you can see texmod takes 3.3 Gb when start. If game crashed when it reaches 2 Gb - problem with LAA, if crashed when more 2 Gb - problem with free RAM.

I was having trouble with textmod bugging out but its now running and I'll be kicking off a new play through when I get a chance so will let you know of any probs. Looking forward to see how well ME1 looks !!!

I can;t get the game to run with FXAA applied, the ME exe just crashes out and the same applies when applying to ME2's exe

Running Win8 Pro x64 with 16GB RAM, Corei7

@Y0-Y0Jimb0 use SMAA injector if you want AA

@who can't run the mod: try to put both mass effect and texmod executable under your whitelist in your antivirus settings

It looks like Texmod glitch. Have you tried alt+tab and back to game?

Yeah I have. Should I try a different download of texmod? I've had this one a while.

Probably not enough RAM/VRAM... Try Normandy Crew.zip separately. http://social.biowar...ect/5275/#files

Windows system automatically allocates memory, you cant do this manually. In my PC game with Texmod eat 3.3 Gb RAM. May be you can buy additional 4Gb RAM? it's cheap now.

Hey there, the white gloves and collar was an artistic choice I very much regret, it was supposed to look like a navy uniform. I needed gloves because Anderson is black and had Caucasian hands. The new version is much better and will be released with the non TexMod version.

A few more tweaks to the medium N7 added some wear and tear and some art design from ME2 armor:

Ok so it's not something I did. How will the non texmod version work will it be hard to do?

I enjoy playing ME1 now more than 2. I wish all these mods worked in ME2! I have ME2 mods, but they are only character mods. Unlike this, which has clothing and environments!
This mod made my Shepard so much more attractive :P

Shows how everyone is different. THe story in ME 1 is great as is the story in 2 and 3 but everthing else in 1 sucked imo.
