@Dns42 and Crowbar01: Yeah, someone said the same thing on the other forum. Apparently my files got mixed up at some stage and I generated the mods wrong... woops. I'll recompile the mods and upload some fixed versions a bit later. But hey, at least now we've got an error message saying the problem. In the meantime you guys could always make the mod yourself, given how easy it is :P

saltisgood: I just moved the 92 files to 90, i got lazy, haha, does the same system work for ME2 mods yet? Also, aussie time? You're aussie?

Haha, yeah that is the easy solution. And no it doesn't work for ME2 yet. I wanted to finish one game before I moved onto another. Once this thing is fully working I think I should be done with ME1 and then I'll do ME2. Though I may have to do some bug fixes for ME3 first. It just depends on what I feel like doing at the time.

And yeah I'm an aussie. If you're asking what time it is here, then on the east coast it's currently 4:30 a.m.

East Coaster, nice, I'm an aussie, also on the east coast, with an insane amount of bloody insomnia! absolutely ace work on the ME1 support though, I've seen ME3Explorer progress over time and your dedication is nuts. The whole thing combined with CDAMJCs textures - good work on them, too, makes it nice to see ME1 look a bit more like its brethren, though I think i'll have to read up on how to create .mods myself for a later date incase i wanna swap or retexture things

Just installed the light maps it was so easy!!! 198 textures in a few clicks, saltisgood I hope you are a very rich programmer someday, if you are not already! Two more retextures to go and the new version will be ready to be compiled!

CDAMJC, only 2? thats some good news! Your textures are awesome! Is the HQ pack or the Performance Pack being compiled?

HQ since without TexMod it needs less resources than the Performance pack.

^^Haha I wish. Glad you like the improvements.

I recreated the mod files after fixing up my files so everything should be cool now. Double-checking the suspect mod scripts shows that they seem to have the files in the right places. Here are the new links:

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5 (LightMaps)

This time I just did the whole thing in the mod generator, so there aren't lots of separate mod files just 5 large ones. Installation is a breeze though. I chucked all of them in at once and it installed 400 mods in about half an hour, which without multi-threading is very quick. ME3 is much slower.

^Interesting. That suggests that your files are fundamentally different to mine. If you don't mind me asking, are you using a differently localised version? I'm using the english version. Have you tried installing it Crowbar?

^Yeah that could definitely be the cause, though I think you're the only one who's come forward with this particular problem. The other ones were a plain mistake on my part. Since I'm not going to make mods for any other versions of the game out there you'll have to learn how to do it yourself I'm afraid. Don't worry, it's really easy and I'll make a video at some stage showing exactly how to do it. In the meantime there's a full written guide to keep you occupied.

And in my post I was referring to the user Crowbar01.

and i am not a programer but could that problem with versions be fixed by linking texplorer with modmaker sinc texplorer scans the locations of all textures or something like that

@TheEye2108: Hmm, you're right about Dns42. That's unfortunate. ME3 is a bit nicer about localisation issues like this. Oh well, if worst comes to worst you can do it "manually". When I say manually, I don't mean manual like it used to be. The TPF->Mod generator will do 90% of the work for you. And if mod makers start using the proper formats it will pretty much do everything for you. With this tool, unless you really know where everything is in Texplorer, you're actually a lot better off compiling everything into a tpf first.

Yes it is possible to implement a combined system with the Texplorer. But compared to the existing system it would be EXTREMELY slow, not to mention it wouldn't be able to differentiate between textures with identical names, which is a real problem. Given how simple the Mod Generator is, I think you're better off just making it yourself.

As for the lightmaps, I guess that your files only differ from mine in certain areas and actually only in very small ways. Since Crowbar01 is using an english version as well (I assume :P) and the installation went without a hitch, I'm going to say that localisation is definitely the issue. ^Thanks for that Crowbar.

Edit: On a final note, I believe that I've got replacement working for single level textures as well. And I've found what should be the final thing to do for ME1. Occasionally there are textures which are identical in game, but show up separately in the Texplorer. I'll just have to make it so that the program gets all the references made into mods, not just the first.
