However you guys seems to be talking about a new version which doesn't require texmod and has no glitches plus various other improvements, what's the ETA on this like a week, month or several months? as I was planning on playing through it again but will hold off on it if this is coming out soon.

Just need some clarification as I only bothered to read the last 3 pages of this topic. While ago I had reinstalled mass effect and was tweaking to get the most out of it and came across this post but decided not to use your hq textures and such because of the graphical glitches or if you fix that, the crashing from texmod.

Closer to the week estimate I am aiming for the end of this weekend, but things could get in the way of that. But it shouldn't be longer than next weekend.

Okay so I know I said only 2 more textures but I was looking at femshep and said I could do better with the skin.
So here is WIP skin and eyelashes:
vanilla for comparison
out dated
I added vanilla for comparison, still WIP I'll add some more tweaks tonight and update.

Somthing you may want to consider, I thought it might look nicer with the alliance logo on the ship similar to ME3.
I kind of agree with this, but at the same time I don't...on one hand it is an Alliance ship, makes sense that it'd have an Alliance logo like the rest of the fleet would..but my disagreement comes from the storyline itself, it's a prototype and not run under Alliance regulations like the SR2 from ME3 is, it's technically an independant vessel, even though you're constantly asked to do things by Hackett.

Yep adding the logo looks great but breaks lore/story. Actually does it break story? Because the Alliance does come to investgate the Normandy and see how it's money's been spent etc...

Even if a prototype, the Normandy is an Alliance ship, after all. Admiral MIkhailovich states that the ship was going to be assigned to the 63rd Scout Flottilla, originally they did not intend it to operate independently. Plus there's an Alliance crew serving on the ship.

toned down use real skin references, shut off film grain and dynamic shadows for clarity.
opinions welcome, still WIP also I have only done face so I know there is a seam, I want to get the skin right before I spend time removing seams.
Also I'm aware the area above the eye is off I will correct once I get feed back on complexion.

Which is the only real reference, other than that, its shakedown run has a spectre onboard, and is used by Shepard for his own use as a spectre, so my guess would be that the Alliance logo would have been added later on down the line once it was actually thrown into a fleet. Since it's an infiltration/stealth ship I'd guess they wouldn't have put markings on it anyway though, make it look like any old frigate. I'd hazard a guess the only reason the SR2 has markings is due to replacement of cerberus markings/it becoming Andersons control centre/ship

edit: Also due to being a stealth ship, it would hardly matter what the ship itself looked like. Out in space it cannot be detected by enemy radar, which is the point, and can even go unseen when using its cloaking ability. So at any distance regardless of its appearance the Normandy is still a Stealth ship.

Well, in actuality the Normandy was supposed to join Rear Admiral Mikhailovich's ranks, in the 63rd Scout Flotilla. So the Normandy would've been assigned its branding -after- the shakedown run and successful pickup of the beacon, but due to everything going bonkers on Eden Prime, Shepard ends up placed in command of the ship instead, and due to his being a spectre, he can show no formal alliance with any side (bar the Council, of course.)

"Windows are structural weaknesses. Geth do not use them." But more seriously, yes, but as the final part of that quote states, it is hard to get a visual, which is why people rely on scanners. There is relatively no light besides stars in space, and the Normandy doesn't use typical thruster technology, especially when 'running silent,' so in theory its coloration, and design pattern, are irrelevant unless light is cast on the Normandy by some means. Ontop of this, by the time the ship is close enough for you to get a glimpse of it you're probably going to be more concerned with the ensuing attack rather than what it looks like. Plus the Normandy isn't all that big. The SR1 was capable of landing on planets with relative ease, for example. So small and untracked by sensors, most people won't be looking for the Normandy to begin with in order to see it, and would be loafing about or attending their regular stations.
edit: People by nature laze about and do the minimum required of them. I highly doubt that there are guards sticking their faces to windows watching for a very small distant ship. Ontop of that, the Normandy typically makes drops further away from installations and has the ground team approach, as a Stealth and Recon. Unit should, to begin with.

but then, since you become a spectre, you couldn't use that
your task should be represent all the galaxy, not only humans

I had to reinstall everything on my PC due to a catastrophic error caused by my anti viral software/security suite and thus this meant I had to reinstall games too.
Reinstalled ME1 and tried to play it with the "performance" version of the hi def mod and I keep getting it crashing with a runtime error.
As far as I am aware the runtime error is caused by ME not being Large Address Aware but heres the thing. I made sure to apply the LAA patch to the masseffect.exe, the masseffectlauncher.exe, the masseffectconfig.exe, and the texmod.exe.
And its crashing.
So mind is boggled.
Any ideas?
