Just dropped by to say thank you so much for your hard work on these textures! I've been following your project since long now and I can only say the textures look amazing!
Everything worked without problems (although to be sure I chose to extract the files to a new folder and overwrite the original ones manually by copy&paste). My ME1 folder is now around 23GB and with LAA enabled there were no CDTs.
With my NVidia settings on a GTX 680, VRAM usage is around 1GB+/- and this is perfect for a 4GB card when I compare it with my heavily modded Skyrim using 3,7GB VRAM most of the time LOL
I just checked with some old saves and everything looks ok and I will surely give ME1 another go when I have a bit time :-)
So, again, thank you for not forgetting us

Subtitles Mass Effect 1 are scattered somewhere in these "large" file in which you packed textures, and since you have a multilingual version (russian language there is not), installing your mod for russian version cause disappearence of russian subtitles at all. So, you need to repack russian game files with your textures to fix this. Or add a russian strings on yours files of mod, but I don't know if it works.
If you decide to do it, I can provide the necessary files from the russian version.

@Mechanic.92, do you have issues with random squares (screwed up letters) in words? Do you have Gold Edition or disc/subtittles version? Because I couldn't find any good quality russian localization without such issues. And translation of the Gold Edition sucks. BTW, sorry for off-topic.

Can you send me entire rus language archive (using mediafire) via PM?

I don't know if it is caused by the mod or something else.

when i was installing pinnacle station, i noticed that it installs all its files in the usual ./DLC/ folder but one
"RefShaderCache-PC-D3D-SM3.upk" is its name and it's located in ./BioGame/CookedPC
if i'm not wrong that file already existed but it was big something between 10 and 20MB while it's 75MB now (which it's exactly the size of the file in the installer)
can this help? do you know what it is?
i could upload it if required

PS I can't help but notice Giana Parasini still has a seam on her face. Is it just me, or the mod installer didn't actually install everything correctly?

1) When installing to the steam version the installer has not worked at all, just says that it is finished after 1 second. Tried this on two PCs (Both basically fresh builds) and found the same on both.
2) Installer worked fine on non steam installs.
3) I ran into some stability issues with the steam version depending on the order in which I installed the mod, patch or Bringing Down the Sky. Below is the order that I did it in
- Install game on Steam
- Launch game once (Registers some parts of the game on first launch)
- Install Bringing Down the Sky
- Install Patch 1.02
- Install ME1UITM to a new empty folder
- Extract the Shader fix into this new folder
- Copy contents of the new folder into your SteamApps\\Common\\ME1 directory, overwriting files.
- Once done that SteamApps ME1 directory should be around 20.5GB (A little less without BDtS)
- Set the MassEffect.exe file to run with admin rights and apply LAA.
- Clear shader cache
- Play :-)
Not directly related to this mod, but NVidia inspector related. I haven't used inspector before, just using the NVidia driver for game profiles - so I gave inspector a try and when running with CDAMJCs recommended settings my frame rates plummeted to around 20fps, the main reason I think was because my CPU was pegged at 100% (All four cores maxed).
Now I'm running an Intel i5 4670, this seems odd to me. Anyone else seen this before with inspector?
If I switch to comparable settings in the NVidia driver then the game is silky smooth.

I discovered that, using the nvidia injector, if in the "Antialiasing - mode" you select "Override any application setting" the "organical and moving" look of the N-7 armor and Chawkas suit gone, at cost of the performance, dropping to 15-20 fps. If you select "Enhance the application setting" the performance gets a lot better, but the engine cannot show the suit as it have to and then the "organical" suit appear.
Guess it was too much texture for some pcs XD
Ah, the "Ambient Occlusion setting" is the other factor that greatly affects performance. If the fps is too low, choose "Quality" instead of "High quality" or turn it off if still not enough improve.

General protection faults can be many things but some people had luck applying LAA to MassEffect.exe to remove them if they are mod related it should do the trick.

Do you have the all files from the russion localization patch? It shouldn't be to hard to use MEExplorer and update it, I can make a version for the mod. I just need the original Russian files.

Okay I'm looking for input...I have received 2 reports that installing the mod changed russian subtitles to english. I have no idea why this happened or what files are responsible. Is anyone else having issues with the mod changing the language? Or does anyone know where Mass effect 1 keeps/stores its subtitles?
Actually, I have the same problem, but with Polish version. I have Mass Effect released in Poland by CDProjekt and most of the text said by npcs is in English. What's interesting, Polish dubbing remains unchanged and dialogue text of my companions is still in Polish.

Can you send me the polish files as well? I can do a polish version too. The Polish localization patch files I mean.

I've updated my video description on what Nvidia settings I used, which thanks to you I use SGSSAA now. my GTX680 struggled at 4x while recording.CDAMJC wrote...
SGSSAA is a beast and will kill performance on anything less than a gtx580, there are work arounds though turn the setting to 2x instead of 4x and turn AO down in quality or off AO as that is also a huge performance
I've noticed on fem shep that the N7 medium armor didn't have the glowy parts showing.

CDA, anything else I could try for a possible fix for the crashes? LAA was working good until today, but I just crashed three times in a row while in C-Sec.
EDIT: Btw, I installed on vanilla ME1 and my CookedPC folder is 20GB exactly.

Hmm random crashes have in the past for MassEffect been an issue with audio drivers and chipsets, maybe look into those. or something didn't get installed properly from the mod. Have you tried the copy and paste method from the troubleshooting section?

It will glow on non-player characters, for both male and female, light and medium armors won't glow on the onyx on Shepard because of the way the model is set to load the extra N7 parts of the armor that only shepard has...I haven't found a way around this yet if I ever will seems unavoidable.
