You'll need to extract face three from vanilla mass effect using TexMod. However, there are quite a few more files you'll need to extract to get the color to match all of the scalps as well, even then faces 1 and 2 will no longer match the skin tones to the neck and scalps. Extract all of those with TexMod from vanilla mass effect, re-size them all to 2048x2048 or they won't overwrite my large textures. Create a .tpf from the logged files. Then use MEExplorer tpf to .mod creator function in ME1Exoplorer's Texplorer to make a .mod to install the textures permanantly. Then run ME3Explorer and install the .mod from ME3Explorers .mod install function.
The reasons the skin tones don't match once you change the face is that they are all based off of ME3 skins which had a slightly different shade of color and then in my editing I had to add a tan tone layer to make them less gray/blue in game on the lighter skin tones. The scalp and skin tones have to be the same shade so if you are adding in a vanilla skin the shade won't match the scalps and there will be a really bad seam. Therefore all female human skins will need to be replaced, off the top of my head it's about 20 textures.
That particular texture (freckles) is heavily based off of Jack from ME2 which is where the graininess you are hating comes from, a ME3 base and then my own touches to freckles, skin, etc...
As far as opinions go, to each there own. I am on a small break from modding so if you don't like it you are going to have to fix it. I just don't have time at the moment, and I've gotten far more people telling me they love the third texture, so again changing it is going to have to be done by someone other than myself because as you can see in the explanation it's not a simple fix, this issue seems to be a matter of personal preference and again, I just don't have the time right now.
