These crash fixes were worth the download and reinstallation. Not one crash since I started my latest playthrough. Thank you so much for this!

Way to jinx myself, though this is the first crash yet and I'm fairly certain it was user error.

help requires system specs and you to have read the readme and troubleshooting section within the readme. Then from there if you still cannot fix the crash some specific examples of when the crash happens etc...

Hi
yes i have laa applied. Its about 3 years ago that i installed ME1 so maybe something has corrupted in time.
I have the original dvd so i will try a complete new installation (yes ill make a bacup first and save the saves).
Hopefully that will solve the issues i currently have. I have to do it later because i have an extreme busy week at work to do first.
Take Care.

Suggestion Time!
How about applying these textures on the guys aboard the Normandy? Not that I don't like the new versions but this looks more... "Alliancy"...

Funny you should say this. I actually sent Catechrism the following message a little over a week ago:
Hello,
I've been admiring your work on the Mass Effect 1 Updated/Improved Textures Mod & was wondering if you would consider my request.
I would like to be able to use the armour used by the Marines in Mass Effect 3 in Mass Effect 1.
Comparing the textures for the Onyx & this armour it appears that it should be possible to adapt however this is far beyond my abilities. I have tried modifying the existing ME1 camouflaged armours however I'm completely new to texture modding and my results have so far been dramatically lacking.
What I would ultimately like to achieve, in the absence of mesh modding/importing, is to have the ME3 Marine Armour worn by all the Alliance soldiers in the game, whilst Shepard, Kaidan & Jenkins would start in a dark grey 'special forces' variant.
Do you think you could port the ME3 texture to make the armour usable in ME1? If so, then thank you very much, if not, then thank you for considering it and regardless; excellent work with your mod. It looks simply spectacular and makes Mass Effect 1 feel brand new.

Sweet. I noticed they were quite similar so I though, its possible...
Although I wouldn't mind a complete re-texture of another armor. There are so many same-ish armors in ME1, it could use some more variety.

Yes I am looking into getting those textures as an option, but it will replace current N7 armors, and all of them are linked meaning the game uses that texture for everyone so if I make the guards on the Normandy use it, Shepard and his crew will also use it.
But I think I will start playing with it soon I'll post screens when I have some.

Hi Catechrism. When i install antialiasing 4x Multisampling light sources in game behave strangely.
Here is how it look in game:

Here is how it must to be:

Is this side effect of multisampling and there is no fix for it?

Most likely yes, Unreal engine has issues with AA that's why there is no native support for early games like Mass Effect 1 so forcing it may very well cause light bleeding like that. But that looks also like it could be overbleed from and injector like enb or sweet fx do you have either of those running?

I'm definitely not running any injectors. Сould you put a screenshot of the same place the game, so that I could compare it with my screenshot and see overbleed?
The main disadvantage of this is that such flash lights occur when i'm shooting in aim mode. It just kills my eyes

Well if you aren't using injectors then it's how forcing AA effects the engine. I didn't mod any particles or lense flares so it has to be the engine and how it's responding to forced AA.

Actually I had the same problem. No injectors, no AA. It's like mass effect DICE edition.

Of course I understand that this is due antialiasing

@Catechrism, do you know why Shepard is the only one who gets N7 and red stripes on Onyx armor and not the others? I have a suspicion that Shepard's texture is unique and everyone else is using different texture.

Some WIP on Alliance Marine:
That looks so Badass! I can almost say this is the best looking armor yet!
What is with the lighting though? It bounces so much better than vanilla. Did you pull of some cool map tricks?
#2349
Posté 09 juin 2014 - 01:39
The lighting is me trying out Smarteck's ME3 cinematic mod: https://onedrive.liv...AFsOSNj_xhDHvxE
I like it a lot. I use the ME3 preset version he has combined SweetFX and ENB at the same time to give an Unreal Engine 4 look. I think it works pretty nice for ME1.
Also as for the reflections on the armor I did drastically change the spec map to get the reflections you see.

Shepard's model has one arm mapped specifically to a certain part of the texture (the one that contains the stripe) all other models mirror one arm. But Shepard's model is UV mapped for both. Fixing/changing this is something not currently supported using ME1Explorer.
