Thats the point I'm making...no matter what you choose...if she's infertale as well...then Ferelden is like...doomed utterly for another civil war....which I suspect is Bioware's plan...perhaps make Orlais in DA3 invade Ferelden while they are fighting each other?Quething wrote...

its also a shame the devs refuse to comment on Anora's fertility. Because if she is...then taint or not the future of Ferelden succession is totaly f***ed
It might be anyway. If you put Anora alone on the throne she never remarries, which makes her fertility moot. (Well, at least that's what the epilogue slides say, though apparently those are just rumors now.)
So does Levi Dryden...

Because it seems to be that shes never going to warm up enough to Alistair (even hardened) or the Warden enough to even attempt to make an heir. So I guess her fertility is moot no matter what...but I would still like to know. Because I want to fool myself into thinking Anora' isnt a heartless Ice Queen. And that she eventually comes around to whoever she marries.

alistair still has 20 years left though - so it'd probably be more for DA4 or DA5... unless he gets assassinated

Not really. Fereldan has a constitution that is well suited to deal with an end to the royal line - it has the Landsmeet to decide who is the King, and a broadly based political tradition which shouldn't find the concept of an elective monarchy all that difficult.
I mean, a civil war certainly could happen, if the key players have the wrong sort of personality - and Bioware might want one. But there's no fundamental reason it has to happen.
