I decided to make another playthrough of mass effect 1 ( xbox360) and when you first meet Garrus, his voice had a....robotic tone. I could still (barely) hear his regular voice but I couldn't really with the robotic tone. It just happens with turians though. Not with any other race. Is there something wrong with my game disk or have I just never noticed it until now?

The more I play of Mass Effect the more minor glitches I notice, so I know what you mean about the sound of Garrus' voice. Other things like dialogues not ending properly is another.
Either way, I am of the opinion there's not much we as 360 owners can do about it. (I haven't kept an eye here so may have missed the vast majority of fix suggestions.) The game is also old such that patches are no longer something we can wait for as all work on the game has stopped long ago.
In short: endure.
EDIT: typo.

Ah yes I have the same problem with dialogues. Like in Chora's Den when I ask Harkin where Garrus is, she never completes the sentence . I am finding it VERY annoying with these glitches.
So are you saying if I had a PC version of Mass Effect, the robot turian voice's would be fixed?
I won't buy it just to fix it, that's silly to me.
I guess I'll live with robot turians for the rest of mass effect.
I also see this problem in Mass Effect 2 with turians .* Sigh *

I don't think the PC has any patches which the 360 didn't get, though I am guessing someone may have been able to rectify it on the PC. Even then I'm not sure.
I've had that slight robotic tinge to Turians' voices that it's become default to me, such is the way of things....

Haha, well I guess since on my first few play-throughs, I was so obsessed with everything that I never noticed the glitches. Now that I've heard everything a few times the glitches are popping out to my sightings. Lucky to the people who can ( if they can) change the tone on the Pc.
I hope this will get changed in Mass Effect 3. I don't like robot Turians.

That's because it is the default. There are effects applied to all turian voices.

What I believe we've been pointing out is the inconsistent application of it. I've come to accept it as standard, and I will take your word for it that it is standard, however, that does not somehow negate the times when the same character doesn't have that tinge, e.g., Garrus.
