Alright, so a couple of days ago I posted here because I could not download the Stone Prisoner. After doing the 'run services.msc' thing I got it working, so I was happy.

Then rather quickly I was sad again because another issue popped up. Was doing the Broken Circle quest. The first problem arose in the Fade. I could not enter Shale's nightmare, forcing me to fight the sloth demon with only 3 party members. After succeeding in that, Shale started behaving very strangely. All abilities had empty tooltips and she simply would not fight anymore. I quickly googled the problem and one suggestion was disabling/enabling the DLC.

I wish I had never done that.

After re-enabling, Shale disappeared, as did all the items from the Stone Prisoner DLC. Still managed to complete the Broken Circle, but they did not come back. Afterwards, I got the 'Not Authorized' bug.

I tried running services.msc again to no avail. Finally I resorted to deleting the DLC and manually reinstalling it, plus patching to version 1.04. This did remove the 'Not Authorized' bug, but I have not gotten my Shale back! I can see the DLC is functioning again though, since Bodahn now sells the crystals Shale uses, but I have no way of getting the golem back. Neither is the pass or the town where you can awaken shale anywhere on the map.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Register the game, least you can do to show you have a genuine copy.  And then...

Are just some of the useful stickies that you just happened to miss, stuck at the top of this forum.  Not easy to miss.....
