I purchased Mass Effect 2 from Gamestop online. I downloaded the game and installed it. I was told there was some points I get through the Cerberus network, but I don't get them. It tells me a card was included in my game, but there was no card because my game was a digital download, so how do I get those points?

Also the cerberus network won't connect when I turn on the game. I have to do it manually each time. What is up with that?
And your site won't let me use my credit card to purchase points so I can do the updated stuff. My card is perfectly valid, had funds, and is not the issue. So why do I keep getting a General Error message that tells me nothing other then it ddn't work and try again later. I have tried again later and nothing still. What the **** man? I want the extra content. Can anyone help?
Also when I try to register my game through EA it says my serial is invalid. If my serial is invalid why can I use it to play the game?
Why does nothing work with this site/game????

You are asking this as if it was a GAME problem, rather than a SITE problem, or a POINTS problem. The sites for discussing those are elsewhere besides this forum. All of the forums are for gamer to gamer communication. Support is through the EA Help pages, not here.

Yeah, and EA's help didn't do squat to get my code, get my Bioware points, or anything else. They said they activated my stuff but nothing is there. Lame.

You wont get any points with the Cerberus Network. You do however get a code which enables access to some of the DLC that has been release. The code, should have ben emailed out to you by Gamestop. Check your inbox and spam folders. If its not there, contact Gamestop to find out when they plan to send it.

Credit card not being allowed to purchase points cannot be rectified in this forum. You wuill need to go to the Bioware Points forum for assistance in sorting that out.

Cerberus Network Connection: If using Win7 or Vista, open up a command prompt, and type this in;
netsh int tcp set global ecncapability=disabled
And then try connecting.

Okay. I will contact Gamestop about my code. I really want to get the DLC for this game, but if it keeps denying my card I don't know what to do. I know it is not my card cause I can use it for other sites. The EA support told me to download this Origin thing and my game would be in there, but it really didn't do what they said it was going to. If all else fails and they can;t get me up and running I am going to torrents for my extra stuff. I offered money multiple times, so they should take it before I change my mind.

Is your internet access point, current address and credit card address all the same? There have been reported issues when using a credit card registered in another country to buy stuff, while living somewhere else, and has to do with the anti-theft checking system making sure your card isn't hijacked and used out of country.

Nope. In America purchasing from home. Not sure what it is, but I went elsewhere and spent my money on other things with my cad that really works and will wait till next pay day to see if the issue is resolved.

Just out of curiosity, is it a pre-paid credit card? Or a debit mastercard/visa? I've heard other people have had similar problems with those style cards.
For some reason, the site has difficulties with people who want to spend their own money, rather than the money of the legal loansharks credit card companies.
