@JeffZero  Nooo! Don't turn to the dark side! X-wing was and will always have been better played with the mouse! Listen not to that heathen, Dieby! Heretic!
......... The fact I played with mouse only because daddy refused to buy me a flightstick at the time is utterly besides the point.... :?

Oh and stop being awesome you two! All this talk about my beloved Xwing, Tie fighter and Xwing alliance games is too much awesome! I can't handle that much awesome in a single day, blast it! I have no Awesome button to vent my awesome capacitors with!

LMAO, I remember playing X wing and Tie Fighter on my trusty Cyrix x386 PC clone.  Oh man, good time.  I actually had a Batch file configuration for memory at boot so I could play Falcon 3.0 and my other games.  And I had to suffer with a damn trackball mouse for many moons!  I remember pulling down, lifting the mouse up quick, slamming it down at the top of the mouse pad, repeat ad nauseum until high dead six achieved.

Ah memories.  My Awesome Capictors are being rerouted by EDI though, I will make it through the Omega 4 Relay of cool.

At any rate, CE's are worth it sometimes, and ME3 is one of those times for me, and I honestly regret not having the CE for 1&2.

I've already ordered, Collector's edition for me. All those bonus's like the hoodie and the art book and the metal case combined with all the downloadable extras like better guns, new outfits and the robot dog. I like what I see.

Indeed. Chances are if that stuff ever becomes available for non-CE owners, they will be charged for all of it. No, thanks. I'd rather hit two birds with one stone and go with the CE.

I wish ME2 would have had DLC, or a built in option, to replace the N7 decals on Shepard's armor with Cerberus emblems. As well an option to have no decals at all.

I wanted a DLC that let me replace all the Cerberus Uniforms on the Normandy with Black BDU's cut in the Alliance style, and to put Miranda, Jacob, Kasumi, Samara, Thane, Zaeed and Jack in standard uniforms, and put Garrus, Mordin and Grunt in matching Turian, Salarian and Krogan not armor outfits.  And repaint the Normandy to remove the Cerberus logo, and replace the Transponder with one that doesn't squawk as Cerberus.

Eh, I'm going for standard here. Normally I'd go for a collectors edition of things, but BioWare tends to be somewhat.. lacking with theirs >.> I'm a sucker for usable junk, so there's really nothing that stands out.

Not enough physical goodies to bother with the extra $$. Call me spoiled, but I prefer my art books to be fairly beefy (see, Bioshock 2, Witcher 2 etc). The lithograph I will admit is interesting, but everything else is kinda 'meh'. Heck, even a key-chain or cellphone strap would've been appreciated -_-

The few digital items there will almost certainly hit the marketplace in decent order anyway, so it's no real loss for me.

ED: Had the 'super-edition' talked about in the past come to light though, that I would've more than happily paid for. There were some excellent ideas in that thread :3

Xwing vs Tie Fighter was awesome, except that going out to buy a joystick for better playing the game lead me to the awfulness that was Fry's customer service. Tried to tell me that I bought it for 19 cents when it was 19 dollars (sale price) not that I'm still holding a grudge or anything! ;)

Anyways if it's a game series I love (which so far amounts to Dragon Age and Mass Effect) then I will splurge for the CE. Usually if one is willing to wait or pay you can get all the extras eventually but that's not always the case. Plus I want it day one and the CE packaging has always been snazzier. When it comes to ME and DA I will purchase the most complete edition they offer.  I really wanted a Super Duper Edition (in addition to the one we have) for about $150 for ME3 because this trilogy deserves to go out with a bang.

Took the Collector's Edition primarily because of the extras. Instead of paying $75 at a retail store, I manage to pre-order it for $70 because of a certain $10 discount from pre-ordering to other games, and can have it at my house on launch day. Why the Collector's? Why the hell not? Not interested in most of the other games on the market, which is speaking volumes. As it is, the only games I like for 2011 are Arkham City (which to this day I'm playing to death with), and Saints Row 3 might enter the list, depending on how much fun I have with it. Never gave a rat's ass about Modern Warfare 3 since the original team's at Respawn Entertainment, and Battlefield 3 won't keep me interested. I'm the type of person that got burned out with Halo 3's MP after 1 full month (i.e. 8 days a month since it's mostly on weekends). Got bored with Halo Reach after 2 WEEKS, and whatever game I wanted to give a shot DIED AFTER 2 MONTHS (i.e. Tom Clancy's EndWar is the main offender, and F.E.A.R. 3 joined the list, but I wrote that off because of the "We wanna hype co-op" band-wagon.)

All I want from the collectors edition is the N7 pack and the dog. But if I they release it later and I get them with the normal edition, I am sure it would be worth just about the same as getting the collectors edition now.

I'll be getting the normal edition since there is no collector's edition where I stay. Anyways hopefully the in-game content will be aavailable on the Bioware Store at some point of time.

I would like the CE but it may actually cost more where I live, so I will probably get the Standard one and then hope the stuff from CE- guns, dog,and appearance for vega and liara will hit the market place as an DLC.

Pre-ordered the Collector's Edition as soon as it was announced. Not missing the chance to get the most Mass Effect 3 possible.

Origin is going to be included whether we like it or not. The CE doesn't magically allow you to avoid it.

As much as I really dislike the way SP DRM's are headed (Origin, Blizzard's online-all-the-time Diablo III), hopefully EA has learned from past mistakes (Spore) and made their DRM... well... bearable.

da game is all i need smh @ da collectors dat shts a waste of 20 bucks - can head over 2 da supermarket and get me sum chicken tenders w/ sum spicy mustard and other assorted food items for dat price

I wipe my ass with $20.

Be nicer if you instead gave it to people in suffering & need instead (I hear Turkey just suffered an earthquate... rather than wiping your bum with it, send it to them instead). There's also no shortage of toilet paper in most 1st-world nations as far as I know... and printed money probably chaffs anyway

Just making a point - not like $20 is a huge deal.

Besides, my selfish splurging on useless crap helps our economy and can help get people back to work. Image IPB

Collector's Edition. I was surprised when I saw the price, I expected it'd be more expensive for some reason.

Collectors. I've been following Mass Effect since the first book and game. I've read every book, played multiple playthroughs on ME1 & 2. I'VE READ EVERY COMIC. I CONSTANTLY LOOK FOR NEW ME INFO. I'm obsessed with ME because I'm excited that our future may look like this one day. It's something I look forward to even in my grave.anyways the collectors edition. I bought the collectors and standard but I can't play them until three months after it comes out because ill be gone. Anyways kill and stay motivated.

Unfortunately Origin doesn't want to take my money so I have no other option but to get the standard edition from another digital store since there is no retail shop for miles.

It's the Collector's Edition for me.  I liked the CE version of Mass Effect 2 so it's only natural that I buy the N7 CE for ME3.
