Collectors. Out of respect for the game authors. :)

Probably get the standard, then just buy the extra character as day one dlc.

No one cares about Origin here?

I'm actually quite annoyed that its not on steam, but there is nothing I can do about it this late in the trilogy.  I will play and like it, and future Bioware properties migh not be purchased if they are knee deep in Origin with no option for steam.

I'm really not sure how that thing is going to be able to put up in a fight against Reaperized foes and Cerberus Atlas machines, to be honest. If it's supposed to be the equivalent of Dog from DAO then I can already see myself putting it aside after the first couple of missions; Dog was fairly useless in the latter half of Origins, when enemies grew stronger.

I think it just runs around the Normandy, but at least I can look down at my RL dog and tell him to get a job.:D

CE. I enjoy the extra stuff I get with it. Granted I didn't know about mass effect when the first two came out so this will be my first CE with ME3

Isn't the ME3 dog suppoused to be just walking around the Normandy? Basically Mecha Urz? :P

I confess with only a little embarassment this was the deciding factor for me, too. Must have puppy, even if it's a robo-puppy.

CE is just prettier version of standard one, From my experience is just about the game I don't really care about CE and the other stuff that it has, because if they release a DLC that has the guns, outfit, appearances and a robot dog, I will buy it cheap maybe just for 240ms points.

For the first time on pre-ordering.. I actually don't know if I want to pre-order ME3.
I mean.. I am sure you will be able to get the add on's that the game comes with , with cerberus network. If not then oh well. I don't really like the idea of spending .. 20 and then some dollars just for a pretty cover and stuff. I'm going to enjoy the game either way so I don't see the point of CE.
But if I do have the money at that time and not busy to run up to gamestop to pick it up then sure I'll get CE. But for now my answer is standard.

Standard for 2 reasons.

A) I don't want to spend extra money

B) I am not home in the morning when the mailman comes and won't be there to open the door if he comes with the collector edition.

The Collectors edition.

Although I will scrap that robo-dog in a second if they announce you can replace him with Urz. I want that animal.

Collector's Edition. Most often I get my games as a digital download these days, but in a few cases I just want the pretty retail box for my shelf. ME3 is one of those games, since I got the books and comics as well, it's only fitting.
