On my current playthrough I'm building a dual-sword/ axe wielding Sten and just want to know what specialization gives the most bang for my buck, as I only roll mages.
Specialization for Sten?

I just did an all Warrior playthru where I got sick of how slowly Sten was hitting (him & Ogren were like glaciers... I did 90% of the party damage), so I reloaded at Lothering & changed him to DW as soon he joined the party...I went Champion & Reaver(mainly for the stats increase).
I got him up to Momentum on the DW bottom row, and the full DW top row... and Riposte is so handy for the stun...

Easy - Beserker. Maybe Champion if you're having him tank. The others don't suit him at all.

I always make him a reaver. Alistair is a templar and a champion, and Oghren is a berserker and a champion.
