Chi-town and St. Louis were already seen in Fallout Tactics (although only in cutscenes for the former). Chicago is the base of operations for the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel and St. Louis is a hub of mutant activity.

New Orleans and Miami I like the sound of, though. Add Atlanta into the mix as well, as the home of Nuka-Cola.

Whatever. I just hope I can get a new PC to handle Fallout 4 b/c playing Fallout:NV on the console kind of sucks. Some games are best played on the PC.

Fallout: Chicago. I would really like to see this and instead of playing the angle of the evil conservatives I think it would be nice to explore the Liberal evils in Fallout Chicago. Kind of like Bioshock 1 and 2. Where in Bioshock 1 you had a conservative evil and Bioshock 2 you had an evil Liberal.

Chicago is an interesting place to explore seeing there is so much history and so much going on even today you wouldn't believe me if I told you. I used to bring up Rod Blagojevich to my various friends from out of state but they would never believe me. When his last scandal went national and everyone freaked only thing I could think is this isn't new?

The racial divide of Chicago is another thing,. The South Side Irish for years owned Chicago. Problem is they haven't been the South Side Irish in years since they move away when ever a minority comes near or other culture. Walgreens and other stores in areas with the "South Side Irish" actually sell shirts and other material that say "Fear the South Side Irish"

They had the largest St Patrick days parade in the United States. One on the North Side where everyone went and the other on the South WEST side where the Irish used to live in the Beverly area where cops made sure if you wear Orange or your not Irish the Chicago Police would make sure you'd find your self in a bloody pool in an alley and as a joke sent to a hospital in the hood.

Someone actually do Chicago

Oh not to mention we are the only place to scare Martin Luther King away to where he attempted a march and two hours later he fled for his life leaving Jesse Jackson in charge here. Another fun fact

Fallout Hawaii would be pretty cool. It would be an oxymoron of a setting, a nice tropical island setting, marred by a nuclear radio-active ocean and and mutants.

I would like to see isometric 3D

This whole first person 3D view, I just can't enjoy it. What is the point of walking 20 miles in a video game ? Pushing one button for 10 minutes ? I don't get it.

And I'm not really a fan of the FPS targeting either, but I can live with that.

do you really believe isometric view is a possibility?

No I don't, but I certainly hope so :D

Since Fallout: 3 was an abomination, I just hope that Fallout: 4 isn't as much of an embarassment.

I want Fallout, Cleveland. Also some vehicle travel, and the return of the Chinese Assault Rifle.

NO WESTERN THEME. New Vegas was terrible with the cowboy theme. I played it once and couldn't even get past the prologue. They need to continue the 70s theme of Fallout 3.

That was the 50s theme.

Let it be the 70s. No more cold war; instead, society remains locked in the cultural maelstrom of the sexual revolution. :wizard:

Better graphics. I'm pretty sure Gamebryo is out now though. The atrocious graphics was one of the main reasons I couldn't finish Fallout 3 or New Vegas. Can't wait to see what Bethesda can do for Fallout with the Creation engine.

I think this 'brand new creation engine' is a load of bs. From watching vids it just looks like a prettier version of Oblivion to me. Look at it in motion.   I think they just want to distance themselfs from that name cause it's got a bad rap.

You can't pretty up Gamebryo to the extent of what Bethesda has described about the Creation engine. Like I said in my post, atrocious. I've seen both Oblivion, Fallout and Skyrim in motion enough times to know that the engine is something new. Maybe it's more noticeable to me because I don't have any possible graphics mods Oblivion and Fallout may have since I've done my gaming on consoles. What comes with the disc is what I'm stuck with, which was something that looked horrible. I don't mind looking at something from 2006 in 2006 but I can't really take anymore 4-5 years later.

Now that New Vegas is done and dusted i cant wait for this ^.^

If it were what i really wanted, not necessarily possible? I'd love to see my home place of Britain featured. And i'd kinda like to see how the enemy faired. But New York sounds nifty too.

Oh, and i want to play as a ghoul. I want the beginning of the game to be prewar, just a lil playable section going about his life. Then the proper game will be closer to the current year we're playing now, maybe with an occasional flashback. Awesome.

And then we have Fallout Online. But honestly, i hope it never does make it out, since i'd be one of those people you hear about dying while playing games.

While an updated version of GameBryo was used for Oblivion and future games, Morrowind was GameBryo too. You couldn't tell on a glance that Morrowind and Fallout 3 used the same engine. But there it is.

Also, Civilization 4, Sid Meier's Pirates, Epic Mickey, Rift and even "BioWare's own" WAR online are all GameBryo.

It's a flexible engine.

So in that sense, Creation is likely just a Bethesda modded version of an updated GameBryo. At least that's what I reckon.

BioWare's Aurora engine went through a host of comparable modifications. First for the KotOR games, then for Neverwinter Nights 2 and finally for The Witcher 1.

So it's not like it's impossible, or even improbable.

Lol never tell that to someone from Russia or China, or they will be more than ready to point out how your wrong and it was only a cease fire.

Also Fallout is not set in the 50's, 60's, 90's w/e The war Happend way the hell past even today, and many of the events in our world and the fallout worlds past overlap, the American culture at the time did not progress from the 1950's culture of America for some unknown reason, though the hippie movement did start, it did not gain nealy as much fallowing or populat culture backing.

So its not like the War kicked off in 1950. Actully the culture might have progressed, then regressed as we are seeing today with the huge deman in Items and styles from the 50's among some in the states.

Thanks but I want no more hippies (or worse) in Fallout. 30s will be great, but that's not the point. Because 50s theme is default for all Fallout games.

Also there is still kind of cold war between East powers and West powers, especially in economics and UN decision making (which is useless mostly).

Yup, the 50s world of tomorrow is a great theme. At least they can give it a twist like they did with the Western tinge in New Vegas.

So where are you guys getting your info on FOIV at this point?

Yeah, I think one hippy, Elder Lyons, is enough in the Fallout world.

How so?

Chris Avellone tweeted recently that Obsidian will be working on a few RPGs using their own engine (Onyx).

If memory serves correctly, Todd Howard mentioned in an interview a few months ago that they plan to use the Creation Engine for the next Fallout game.

This would suggest it is unlikely that Obsidian will develop it, since development on this game has likely already begun.

It seems to be now confirmed that Obsidian is not working on Fallout 4

Mirelurks and Deathclaws of course need to return.....as do Super Mutants. But hopefully there will be many, many, many returning and new creatures in the game world.

My biggest want is a much bigger and detailed game world. More of everything, including weapons and loot.
