 Here's my team setup:
Aedan as dual-wielding tank
Alistair shield+sword tank
Sten DPSer
Morringan Arcane Warrior

I gave aedan the warden commander set dropped by Dryden (Possessed) which is equipped by Aedan ( Soldier's Peak)
Alistair i gave the 2nd best set currently avaible to me which is the calian armor set( Return to Ostagar )
Sten has equipped my blood dragon armor set. ( Since the start)

Here's the question:
Mikael Dryden is offering me a massive set which is tronger then my current masive set quipped by my Alistair and i am about to embark to Pragon of Her Kind quest and was wondering should i but the set since it cost 40 - 50 soveriegns???

please dont mess with this it took me alotta time to get so much and i dont want to use it altogether but then again i want a good massive armor.

Note: i dont have access to Wade's Superior Dragonbone Armor but the normal version can be since i can get a dragon scale )

There is one more way:

i equip my Warden Commander Set to Alistair and i equip Calian armor set??

So help me!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!

EDIT: I think by selling the Calian set and rebuying it, it became stronger....(Mikeal Dryden)

Buying armor is ridiculously expensive and I wouldn't recommend it unless you are swimming in gold (if you've done the Golems of Amgarrak expansion you probably are).

If you are on PC, you can upgrade existing sets by selling and rebuying them. On consoles you can upgrade items for free with the Warden's Peak storage chest.

Edit: Juggernaut armor is pretty good massive armor set you can get for free.

Hey dude, so according to you instead of buying i should simply stick with selling cailan and blood dragon armor set and rebuy it and that's that?!

ok so if for buying armor soverigns arent used then for what are they used???

Hm ... are you playing on the PC?

I know a "cheat" on how you can get more gold (w/o using the console command).

If you don't wanna use it it's fine. Give me a PM if you do though.

There are a lot of excellent massive armour sets you can get for free. There is a very good one at the end of the Paragon of Her Kind quest, another good one at the end of Nature of the Beast and a free massive set in Denerim. Also, the health regen boost from Cailan's set is very useful, even though the armour itself looks horrible.

The armor I usually upgrade is the Warden Commander's set. Expensive, yes, but red steel upgraded to dragonbone adds a huge amount of protection. Worth the 35 or 40 sovereigns, I'd say.

Cailan Set, Maric Arms, Warden Commander set (PC) - yes.

Blood dragon armor set (PC) - no

P.S. Levi Dryden is much better for rebuying.
