I bought the UE, loaded all dlc onto my hard drive, now when I play it I cannot play return to ostagar. It says can't access even though it shows up as downloaded on my hard drive. Did anyone ever figure out how to get it to play if they ever did? I already cleaned out cache and I can't reinstall dlc cause I already sold UE. Any help please?
I know this has been asked or questioned before...

When was it that others couldn't play Return to Ostagar? During my time hanging around the tech boards I have to admit that I don't remember anyone asking for assistance on that. As such you will need to clarify the issue you are having.
One thing that stands out immediately, if my understanding of the Ultimate Edition is correct, is that without the Ultimate Edition disc you won't be able to play the game anyway.
Or it could be what you mean is that you still have the content on your HDD and you think you can just play from the HDD. In which case you have fundamentally misunderstood what installing from disc to the HDD enables you to do, because you still need the original disc to play (it's an anti-piracy measure).
EDIT: for clarity.

But I can play all the other dlc except ostagar. I googled it and others had the problem also so was curious to see if anyone here encountered it

And as I stated I don't recall many people requesting assistance with such a problem, which would indicate the issue was brought up before I've become essentially the resident troubleshooter; i.e., the threads you claim to have found are old.
But, aside from reaffirming what your issue is, you haven't provided any information in which I could even speculate what the cause may be, assuming I could even identify something. Until that happens there's not much I can do.
For example, has it installed correctly? Does the game recognise the module? (That it is on HDD is not the same as the game recognising it.) Have you missed the trigger for the mission?

I know of an issue on the European PS3 edition but not on the X360.
I did out of curiosity try playing on my X360 with an older version of the game while ultimate edition "dlc" was installed and got a message saying the dlc was corrupted and needed re-installation.
I could only play the game with the "dlc" installed if ultimate edition disc 1 was in the disc drive.
This not being a problem for you after you sold your UE concerns me.
If you kept disc 1 while selling disc 2 (almost useless without disc 1) when you are (probably) immoral and undeserving of assistance.
If you have somehow hacked your X360 to bypass security measures then you cannot be supported on this forum (especially if that is the cause of the problem).
If there is an innocent explanation then I am sorry but can offer nothing anyway without a clearer explanation of what you are doing and when/where the message appears
