Giant Bomb. I don't do a lot of forum...ing. I go there for the Quick Looks, TNT, and Endurance Runs. I get most of my gaming kicks by watching these guys play snippits of games so I only spend time or money on the games that are very important to me.

How can you not love these guys?

I also really like the Cracked forums because they are very heavily moderated for stupidity and smiley faces. Most of the people there are super decent.

Something Awful (I lurk, don't post). Very lightly moderated, it seems, but pretty civil. Am actually seriously considering paying the one-off sub. They always black out the spoilers, which is very considerate.

I also lurk at the Obsidian boards - a smallish, but seemingly good bunch.

I used to hang out at twcenter.net until CA infiltrated the forum by bribing moderators and in some cases even hiring them. They started to kick out fans who voiced criticism against their games. I have not bought nor played their games since 2007.

This is the forum I'm hanging at, I think the moderators are fair and BioWare do listen and rightly in some cases locking spams and so on.

Forgot to state why I frequent these forums

Paradox: Basically to ask question about game nuances, modding techniques, strategy. I like the forum because it is self regulated. Most people there are mature, serious wargamer types. They are a little fanatical about grammar ie. zero tolerance for leet speak mispelled words and bad grammar.

Taleworlds: Same as above concerning questions about game play. Mount and Blade game manual is really vague so a lot of answers are in the forums. I frequent their forums for practiical purposes

Tournament House CC2: forum for the old game Close Combat II that I was an active member in and made quite a few friends. The forum is run by a CC2 fan and is self regulated. The reason I like itis that like minded individuals frequent forum i.e. history WWII buffs. Essential a dead forum but I still check it out every now and then.

Witcher Forums: I go there for game advice, technical questions,there isnt a lot of activity there. Generally people are helpful and nice.

Bethsoft Forums

I frequent that forum since there are a lot of like minded RPG fans there. Mods arent overly oppressive and folks are generally friendly. At least thats been my experience.

No, I like it's simplistic layout, you can literally find what you're looking for, or at least were to search for it, in seconds. It has a lot of events going on and it has free space to just chat about anything game related.
