SWTOR.com. Seems a logical place to go since I'm dying to play the game, but what really keeps me going back are the dev tracker and the friday updates (hint hint). Wish people would stop complaining about class balance for a game that's still two months off though..

Gamebreaker.tv. I just like the shows, or most of them anyway, it's just too bad they can't go thirty minutes without technical problems.

I spend time at Destructoid, but rarely use their commenting system or forums. I spend time at Earth's Special Forces, and administrate that community. It's a mod for half life based on a popular anime. I spend time at Kotaku and actively comment on their content. Not the best system, lots of glitches. Overall, one admin to another, this place is well run and put together. Admittedly, you have what, 102 times my userbase? But that doesn't mean I can't compliment you on a job well done. Keep up the good work Chris :)

Other than the BSN, I started posting once in awhile at Obsidian's forums recently since it's the obvious place to discuss one of their games.

I'm semi-active on YouTube. The comments section there is rubbish, but some the very loose communities built around some vloggers can be fun. It would be interesting to see the BSN feed's "like" functionality extend to forum posts here. Just "like", of course; since a penalty button a la YouTube could lead to ill will.

On the whole, I do more forum lurking than posting outside this site.

Though from what I've seen of G4 as of late, if you call reruns of cops, and other shows Gaming, then yeah I agree.

Ever since Tech TV's transition to G4, it's been going the MTV route little by little. MTV, as you may know, doesn't exactly play music videos anymore. The same can be applied to G4 with games, which is disheartening. I hardly watch tv except for Dexter and Criminal Minds though, so whatever.

Oh, and as for online communities I hang out at: since Steam is apparently a community, that; the TOR forum; and previously No Mutants Allowed, the Fallout fansite, but not so much anymore.

*Sheds a few tears for Tech TV* I still miss the Screen Savers (back when Leo LaPorte and Patrick Norton hosted). Bloody G4 takeover. :P

Screen savers was a rather good show, but least they annouced firing them, I turned it on one day to watch Anime unleashed and nothing lol. Funny in the end, Comcast force buys TTV for G4, then with G4 owing them it turned to what it is today.

Leo and Co did try keeping the show alive an reforming TTV but it fell flat rather quickly.

I feel the Screen Savers was at its zenith in the early 2000s. When Megan Morrone, Yoshi DeHerrera, Martin Sargeant, and Morgan Webb were still there. I liked Kevin Rose and Sarah Lane okay, but neither of them could carry the show. Once the G4 merger happened it went to hell. Ah well... :(

GameFAQs, for game help. I also like to help other people out. You just got to watch out for cer

There is another forum I used to visit, it's no longer around though, but you got XP for posting and stuff and leveled up. But then something like that causes people to post useless stuff just to get their post count up so they could get to a higher level.

I used to hang out on Bungie.Net, until I realized how horrible the community there is. Now this community is horrible, but nowhere near that horrible! Oh and I lurk on EQD, and Facebook.

I used to frequent Blizzard forums and I occasionally visit the AOE:O forums. But as of now here more than any other.

Same screen name there too, so if it was DiebytheSword, it was me.  And yes, I leaked the last three news items from here to Kotaku Image IPB

Quarter To Three is a fantastic general games forum. At the moment I'm also on the Bethesda forums, the KOA:Reckoning forum and occasionally the Obsidian forums.
Also will be on the Gearbox forums when the launch for Borderlands 2 gets closer.

I lurk on Swtor forums once in awhile... seldom ever post - haven't in a long time anyway. I read Kotaku once a day too... have a love-hate relationship with that place.... sometimes funny / amusing, other times shake my head at the stupid things the staff there does sometimes with their articles / blog entries. Never post there.

Actually, BSN is really the only community I chat in at all... I never use things like twitter or facebook and while I peek in on other game forums from time to time, I never bother to post there. Not sure what caused me to sign up here all those years ago.. but it seems to stuck for me for some reason.

Hehe, nice.

I'm "jeffoconnor" and/or "lioneloconnor" on there but I don't post often because I run into weird problems trying to log in all the time and I'm not fond of the "check your email to get a validation link" gig.

We have a great community here at BioWare, but we're always looking for new ideas and ways to improve. To that end, I'm asking what otehr communities do you regularly visit and/or hang out at and why?

I "hang out" on the World of Tanks and World of Warplanes community forums (Because I am teh moderatorz there). The forums are very simple to navigate, your post history is readily available, and it is easy to find people there.

I also enjoy my time on Something Awful (Huge community of people to interact with and enough in every category to help with pretty much anything. Except for the terrible people.), and the NationStates forums. (General debate atmosphere of NSG, fun/craziness of the humor forum.)

And that's pretty much it.

I have a love/hate with all the gawker sites.  I appreciate the topics, as I am a ginormous geek, but I'm not fond of the political positions of the company as a whole, and some of the writers in particular.   I don't want politics in my games or Sci Fi that aren't part of a fictional universe.  Sometimes its not a problem, but sometimes they attack my religion specifically or my political stance specifically and it can get under my skin, epsecially when my position is actually in the middle (I lean conservative on fiscal issues, and liberal on social ones, and frankly believe that both sides should just stop opposing eachother in those niches, but I'm actually a registered independent in my state.)

I signed up for Dragon Age 2, but I have been lurking since KOTOR, and thus before BSN itself.

Hehe, nice.

I've had the weirdest log in bugs there as well.  But I wake up and read my news every day, and two of those sites are Kotaku and i09.  Needs me some morning spoilers.

And I totally forgot my other favorite non-valve game developers, harmonix!  I totally rock the Rock Band 3 website, forum and the non-harmonix run Rock Band Aide.  Image IPB  Singing is my bag, baby.

The Irrational Games Community is quite nice - the aesthetic to the website is pleasing, and there's generally a more thoughtful community there than what you might find elsewhere. Frictional games was nice due to the more tightly knit sense you got from those forums. It was less like a crowd and more like a small group.

Yup, Kotaku and io9 are two of mine as well. GameFAQs/Gamespot, 1up, Joystiq, Trekmovie, TrekBBS/TrekToday, GateWorld, Wikipedia, CNN and Al-Jazeera are the rest. :)

Wikipedia is a neccesary evil. Somtimes I get lost. I also get lost on Mass Effect and Dragon Age sites on Wikia.
