I am on:

- Gamertype
- x360a
- Bad Astronomy and Universe Today
- The New Boston

Of course, I also visit Facebook, YouTube, make edits on Wikia/Wikipedia, but that's beside the point. :)

Reddit and the forum in my sig are the main ones that I spend the most time on.
I like reddit because of the general wackiness and the fact that it has such a varied range of things to talk about.
The other forum is an awesome community

I think I'd spend more time here if there was more moderation going on, or if it was easier to keep track of where/what I posted. And maybe if someone has replied to a post too. I lose track of posts very easily here. :(

How could i forget to mention Cracked?

I love the liet articles they do. Apparently, they have forums too. Like with the Escapist, i ignore the forums and focus on the content.

Bethesda's forums.  Like the Tamriel lore geek that I am.

Saint's Row forums when I can stomach it.  That is a strange place.

DanHarmonSucks.com.   Because the Community TV show rules.  :D:D:D

WEEI.com Because all good sports teams need to melt down sometimes.  It would also be nice if they did other things on occassion.

http://www.halocharts.com/

Fan Site which extends upon the stat content given on Bungie.net for the multiple Halo games.

As well as looking at various stats and attributes they have contests, challenges, community events and many other little things.  It also makes seeking new experiences easier and gets people trying out new things they never even considered before.

May be worth looking at for a few pointers as several things show how to add replayability to older games such as Halo3 and ODST.  Especially as a certain Bioware game has co-op play coming out in a couple of months  ;)

ODST was a co-op firefight game and that got old fast. Even if it had online matchmaking the replay value wasnt high as customisation of gametypes were low.  Halocharts allows fans to make challenges which add to it replayability.

Hi folks

We have a great community here at BioWare, but we're always looking for new ideas and ways to improve. To that end, I'm asking what otehr communities do you regularly visit and/or hang out at and why?

They can be video game based (I hang out at the Escapist  from time to time) or not (I also like the Top Gear website for example). I like these places for different reasons. I like how the Escapists forums and websites unlock "achievements" and badges for activity. And I liek how the Top Gear site provides information for it's fans through videos, blogs, etc,

So where do you like to visit? The only sites you can exclude are Facebook and Twitter. Let me know what you liek and why you like it. :)

I liek the way you spelled like!

Some at the Bethsoft forums. I find the posters are not very friendly, though, so I don't socialize there much. Like a lot of gaming forums, discussion goes straight to "oh yeah? well f you!" and "you're such a n00b" and assorted such juvenile wankery. Same for Gog.com forums. BSN is mostly a haven from that, which I guess is why I still come here a lot.

Twitter-Tumblr. Tumblr is mostly for looking at the pretty pictures.

a bit on devArt- again, because it's centered around art, it's mostly relaxing

I've started lurking on some history oriented forums, like Armchair General and Taleworlds, the forums for the Mount and Blade games.  I learn stuff.

What, you haven't seen teh way he spells before? :P

I recently joined harmonix's Rock Band forum after hearing the next iteration is going to be a radical reinterpretation of what's been seen since it's beginning. This definitely has me excited.

I mostly hang out in non gaming sites such as
http://www.xtratime....forum/index.php
http://www.bigsoccer.com/

Another gaming site I like to visit is

http://www.guildwars2guru.com/forum/

Of course most of my time is spent on job search sites and the LinkedIn community.

The Vault - The Fallout Wiki. Its a wiki that actually has a community.

I visit N4G for gaming news.

Cracked, a great website

And of coarse, 4chan - need i explain?

Occasionally lurk on Beth forums.

Ahhh nice one - stalking made easy :P okay Im in LOL

Basically just other gaming social communities - so the social thing is why I go there and keep in contact while Im in other games. Also I guess to be kept updated on new releases etc - LotRO & DDO have lotteries but I rarely bother to enter them.  Also comps, and Store Deals - thats it.

Oh nearly forgot - Other ppl find it a good place to **** & moan about the Devs when they are not happy - not me - other ppl do this :innocent:

FINAL EDIT (I THINK) *SIGHS* - Forum rep systems on both Turbine sites - good and bad reasons to have this.

Dungeons & Dragons Online(TURBINE) - http://www.ddo.com/ Most frequent - easiest of all
Lord of the Rings Online(TURBINE) - http://my.lotro.com/home/  Less frequent - pain in the **** sometimes
Star Wars The Old Republic (BIOWARE doh!) http://www.swtor.com/ Hardly at all - coz not in the game yet (nearly but that was a massive fail :crying: to make it to the testing arena *crys*)

Just try to find me .... ahahahahaha Image IPB

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE FINAL EDIT coz Im going to bed now ...
 This site likes/dislikes

- I like the achievement system on Escapist Mag - but I prefer the game achievements here on this site
- I dislike here the Forum Searches - they are near impossible
- I like how all games are on one forum - I wish Turbine would do that but they remain 2 cumbersome separate entities - would make life for this social buttlerfly more streamlined...

Okay gnite !!

I forgot to mention one since I visit it sparingly: Google+. It rocks and should totally be used as a source of inspiration. The circle feature is a nifty idea that would actually give those friend tags we currently have an actual use. For instance, if it were possible to categorize people on our friends list as "acquaintaince", "friend", "fan" or one of those many other options, then from there decide which category of friends to post our updates to, that'd be great. As it stands, I can only get so personal in a status update since whatever I write goes out to everyone; regardless of how close we may actually be.

I used to have a Facebook account but after some arguments and a stalker problem I deleted it. I have a Fanfiction.net account which I seldomly visit. I spend most of my time here.

Most of the forums I participate in regularly are, like this one, centered around specific game(s).
Other things, besides or related to forums, that keep me coming back to specific sites are:
-Developer interaction on forums. (Which BSN is already pretty great for; the only thing I think you folks need in addition is an easier way to see "Bioware posts" of the day or week, or hide threads in forum view that do not have Bioware posts, etc. - many slip by in the busier forums unless you pay strict attention to them.)
-Community efforts, e.g. a wiki or other projects to compile info or other helpful things. Discussion is fun, but projects that I feel some sort of commitment to are what really keep me coming back to places.

Going for the more broad category of "sites that keep me coming back" I'd point to Rock, Paper, Shotgun. I may not comment/post much there, but I love reading their blog, they write great stuff.

I prefer car forums. Less restricted, less annoying kids and and usually have more mature people with a better sense of humor.
