I hang out at rpgwatch.com a lot. Sometimes also on the rpgcodex.net. (a lott less these days than I used to do). I also hang on adventuregamers.com, at gameboomers.con and on justadventure.com (though this site seems to be having some problems now). Kotaku.com and GamePolitics from time to time. Sometimes I also visit Bethesda sites and forums, also GamaSutra from time to time. I also sometimes go to Obsidian's website and their forums. Very rarely these days, I visit nma-fallout.com....

And then there's the websites of various Danish newspaper, but most of you couldn't read what's on there anyway. =]

There are only about 5-7 million people in the world speak Danish, I believe. So Danish is a lot more than you can eat

edit:

And here of course Image IPB

Just here mostly, the others I have been apart of such as Bungie and D-Toid are now filled with immature folks who have no idea where their life is headed, or are just around to waste perfectly good air and be trollish.

Facebook and here aside:

Active(ish) on Eveonline.com and Fark.com (Fark is possibly the best time waster in history and has some very funny people).

Read/lurk on... A whole lot of tech sites, but mainly wired, arstechnica and engadget. Also, several IT security related ones, but those I get paid for keeping up with, so they don't really count.

I pretty much only hang out here, an unofficial, but very popular Tomb Raider forum, and Out of the Park Baseball. Mostly the last one.

ok.
The Character Room. Nice people, intelligent conversations about characters, games and other things
Old Gamers site. Nice people, intelligent conversations about characters, games and other things. I don't post often but check it out once in awhile and they have always been friendly.
SWTOR - information is good, Site is easy to manage and subjects are not cluttered with things.
Elder Scrolls/Fall Out/Bethesda - usually lurk and read. I like the information they give on their games.
edit - face book, but just to see pictures of my grandkid or  friends and family and seeing how my out of state friends are doing, not on for more than a few minuets at a time.  Twitter, I have an account and people following me, which is probably very boring for them because i don't go on it.

As far as forums go, this is the only one.

I used to be a heavy forum goer on the LPU forums(Linkin Park Underground) back in the day.

That forum had a few things I think this forum needs. A multi-quote button was one of them.

Basically you'd click multi quote on each quote you wanted on your next post, then click "New Post" and bam, they're all there so you can divide and conquer without having to post several times.

It also had post counts visible for all to see. Not necessary in my opinion, I like the way it is here.

Mods there sucked though. Funny, since they were friends of mine, but they were pretty bad. Much prefer and love the mods here on the BSN.

The community rocked. Hell, I stopped listening to Linkin Park years ago but I kept paying the 20 dollars a year to talk to my friends on that site. It was very fun. Spent all my time on there in the High Command section of the forums, which is the equivalent of the BSN's Off Topic section.

The LPU splintered, however. Instead of 20 a year, they started to charge upwards of like $80. That and in earlier years, they gave you stuff like a t-shirt, an LPU exclusive album, various other things, etc etc. Now, for 80 dollars you get NOTHING. Well, nothing most people can use. There isn't even a dedicated forum. Its worthless. They didn't even get the site ready in time.

People actually paid $80 for things that they haven't even received yet. Its been a year.

Most LPUers talk to each other on Facebook now. What was once a great place for friends to talk became a shell of its former self when they started charging outlandish prices for nothing.

The BSN is a much better place. Its free, I've got loads of friends here, we share similar interests, the mods are interactive and friendly, and hell, I have one of Bioware's employees on my XBL friend's list.

I love this place. Barring a few minor changes that could be done, this place is perfect.

Being a bit of a retro gamer, I visit The English Amiga Board, Lemon Amiga and Amibay quite a bit. Also being a space sim fan, attending spacesim central (for general spacesim news) and The Official Frontier forum (just in case Elite IV ever appears) are obligatory for me.
General gamer news, the PC Gamer site is quite good with some interesting discussions going on.

Though tumblr has been eating away my attention more and more each day.

Aside from BSN, I'm kicking the tires at Google+ (refuse to have anything to do with FB). Informational sites I regularly hang around primarily include ArsTechnica; Rock, Paper, Shotgun; Stuff.co.nz, and Groklaw....I also occasionally check out the Escapist, GI, Eurogamer, Kotaku (sorry, uncool I know), and Penny Arcade.

Gamasutra, iOS/Mac dev forums, UDN/UDK site, MSDN (for XBLIG stuffs) as well as the various gawker blogs. I don't usually hang around the studio or publisher based gaming sites much anymore. Too many one word stories, do something to the person above you and oh my god Justin Beiber threads. And general restrictions on the things I like to talk about.

I've been going wherever The Elder Scrolls games were discussed since 1994, when Arena was new, and the WWW wasn't yet an Internet characteristic. I'm wondering now if there is a lot of crossover, since this is the release day in half of the world for Skyrim.

No Mutants Allowed, Bethesda forums, here obviously, couple of IRC channels relating to gaming in general.

Oh and multi quote functionality would be nice, not sure if Bioware think post count is a good thing or not.

Well as far as gaming is concerned,

- for gaming news mostly: Gamespot, IGN and Reddit ( /r/gaming)
- for reviews: Gamespot, Eurogamer, Giantbomb and Metacritic
- to check out what is new about my favourite games: Bioware Social Network (Mass Effect 3) and Mass Effect FB page, Dues Ex Human Revolution forum (forums.eidosgames.com) and FB page, Witcher forum (en.thewitcher.com) and FB page and my favorite, Teamliquid.net for Starcraft 2. Will I add Bethesda soon? We will see.:)
- I also rarely check Gamasutra for some interesting interviews when I have time.

I do not use Twitter anymore, because I found it to be too adictive to chat with you guys (and other developers, yay for Eidos Montreal and Harvey Smith.:o).

Last but not least, I would like to spend few words on my currently favorite forum, Teamliquid.net and why I like it, so that my post actually has some informational value (lol).

Reason no. 1, the structure.

I admit, at first glance, the page may look complicated and kind of overcrowded but after getting used to it, I have to say it's perfect. The left panel displays few newest topics for each sub-forum (news about the forum / community, news about SC, news about tournaments, news about other games, etc.), the center of the page is dedicated to the most important events and messages and the right panel is dedicated to currently active streams of games, tournaments, shows, etc.

Simply put, from one page, I can see and acces everything - it's like a combination of Mass Effect official page (or FB page) and Mass Effect forum with easy access to Bioware pulse episodes.

Reason no. 2, very high quality of some posts

And by those I mean mostly the posts made by professional players, game casters, tournament organizers and other guys who make a living out of Starcraft. But not only those. I am not sure if Starcraft as a strategy game attracts kind of geekier and nerdier people or why, but many posts (mostly OPs) out there go really into details (some people make various university researches and studies about SC and how it affects players' behavior and other crazy stuff like that), so one can learn a lot of new things on TL.

Reason no. 3, stricter site rules

This one is very simple. Despite large quantiy of aggressive posts, mostly during the heated discussions about game's balance or some tournament results, the mods are up-holding quite strict rules. Posts like " this ", " ^^^ ", " Yup " or posts, that quote somebody else without adding anything new just to show an agreement or emphasize the point of previous poster are warned or temp-banned. Same goes for all the pictures, memes and other stuff not related to current discussion.

Optional reason no. 4, much larger community - more opinions, more perspectives, less personal conflicts.

So those are some of my ideas and information about some of my favorite gaming sites. Hopefully, I did not sound like I don't like BSN. To the contrary, it's one of my favorite sites. It's just not current No. 1.  ¯\\_  _/¯

I feel like Bioware is really under utilizing it's youtube channels and accounts.

It would be cool if you guys used it to show some more behind the scenes stuff. Maybe do a video studio tour. Interview some devs on their processes on how they do things. Just stuff like that.

Basically just something to give us a peak behind the curtains so to speak. I missed when companies did that.
