I occasionally look at IGN article comments and shake my head in disbelief.

The only other place I regularly hang out is Fark (and TotalFark every once in a while)
Things I like the most:
-Comment system is HTML based
-The filter adds some excitement and unexpected laughs
-The photoshop contests, although they are a pale shadow of what they once were

I like thewitcher.com and its forums. lots of cool people there, kind of hermetic, little to no trolling, heated debates and who you can actually "talk" to. Devs drop in very often. Moderators moderate.

Wikia (mainly DA, Deus Ex) - To moderate, contribute and discuss with others.
Escapist - For gaming, movies and other related stuff information. Also to discuss about them.
Nexus (Witcher, DA, TES) - For modding creating, download modding and discuss about modding.
SWTOR community - Because I am interested in that.
Various blogs - To read the blogs, comment and discuss.

Gamefaqs
TRMK
Skyrimforums
YouTube (rarely comment or talk though)
used to love Yahoo Answers till the trolls ruined it for me (though I did have a lot of contacts and lots of interesting debate and discussion...but now it sucks badly), soon left TRMK because the folks seemed way too exclusive and not open to new members (it was like a huge clique)...BSN has a bit of cliquey-ness and plenty of trolls but at least people here actually contribute to what you say for the most part instead of ignoring you and pretending you never posted anything. Gamefaqs same thing, least people respond.

I used to lurk in the Deadspace forum and occasionally I hang in the Gearbox Borderlands forums. To be honest Bioware is far and above those two. The people here are ever so nice (ahem) for the most part.

Mostly BSN, really.
I regularly check out a the website of my old trusted German video game magazine www.pcgames.de and hang around other forums for games when they are just out (e.g. Obsidian when Alpha Protocol was released, and more recently the Deus Ex HR forums) but BSN is the only one that I kept up for longer than a couple of weeks at a time.

I'm like all-over I'm though mainly here on BSN, IGN, XBOX, PSN and I think thats about it on gaming Forums. I'm on Bungie and Battlefield as well. I'm on Social sites. BSN most things are good, There should be more Seaching Options and better Upgrades to profiles.

Facebook is a lot more user friendly because of the ability to upload your own avatar with ease, the live chat, and better cell phone accessibility.

Although I'm not a member, I usually lurk around the No Mutants Allowed forums. They have a lot of interesting information on Fallout related stuff. I used to hang out at the Playstation forums until they did that horrible site update. The Playstation forums used to have the awesomness of the forum layout. It was very simple and fast, kind of like these forums, but then they updated it to where you had to click on a bunch of stuff to get to a topic. Anyways, just keep this site's layout simple, and I'm happy.

IGN, SWTOR when it will actually let me login (wich is never right about now.), Helgon.se, youtube, paheal, tvtropes and knowyourmeme...I also go on rants about how movies suck and should never have been made on imdb.
I've blocked facebook on my computer, that's what I think of that "community".

I spend more time on BSN than anywhere else. Occasionally I look through DeviantArt's site when I'm bored since there are a lot of people there with some amazing artistic talents (and a wicked sense of humor to boot lol) but I have a lot of trouble remembering my screenname and password for signing in... I do like being able to comment on their work and "follow" them...at least I think I can follow them...that tells you how often I actually visit.
Anyways, the nice thing about this site is the lack of advertising spam and popups (which drives me away from a forum faster than you can blink) and the fact that people are mostly fun to listen to. I'm guessing the older fans that use this site are the cause of that.

It's fall with winter coming, so I'm indoors more frequently with inclement weather. Actually just reloaded Mass Effect for another run through or two. Even when the weather allows being outside, I still scan/visit a lot of sites daily and participate in several.
www.hardwarecanucks.com/
arstechnica.com/
Other than participating in a few forums, not into the social sites at all. Never trusted Facebook et al. from the beginning over security and other issues. Part of the reason I don't want Origin on my computer.

For (game) communications and being social (writing this means it is that social hour of the month) mostly BSN and my NWN2 PW's forums. Various modding sites like (fill in)nexus just as a user, not as a talker. My own blog. No FB or the like.

I have always been a troll of the KlickNation forums. I enjoy their community of players greatly. Though I have had dozens of temp. banns and 4 permanent banns along with game bans I still love their forum. It is a great place to hang!

Mostly the Elder Scrolls forums and its assorted satellites (e.g. Nexus, Alliance, fan forums); used to hang about on the Larian forums and Audioscrobbler too, which were quite nice places, but they got culled from my daily online wanderings as I was involving myself with too much stuff and couldn't keep up! Prefer the IPB software overall, for what it's worth.

This is a little embarassing, but I spend a lot of time on the internet. I don't know, I guess love reading about things and getting information and writing insanely long, nonsensical posts on forums...
Anyways, back in the day l used to frequent a lot of places like mugglenet or fictionalley, but not so much anymore. I also used to post on the Playstation Universe forums and Gamespot forums back in the day also. I still visit those websites sporadically (like a few times in the year), but only to read. I also frequent Facebook even though I don't really like Facebook at all. I only use it because there are some people who I can only keep up with on Facebook.
Youtube is another one I spend a lot of time on, but unlike Facebook, I actually like youtube. I regularly read BBC News, and NPR new. I sometimes read Al Jazeera English. I also go visit 1UP and Kotaku and Endgadget regularly.
My Favorites (mostly visit a few times a week if not everyday):
The BSN...Obviously...
Virtual Hogwarts
I used to hang out there a lot, but I haven't been around in a while. I made my first character there in 2003. I'm linking to it, because it deserves serious pimpage. If you like to write and you like Harry Potter, I HIGHLY recommend it. Fantastic people run it and they work really hard.
The Grad Cafe
I'm in the process of applying to some doctoral programs and they're a great resource and a great community of really smart people.
Oh No They Didn't!
LOVE. THIS. SITE. So funny and awesome. They have video game posts sometimes and they're fab.
Phonedog
I visit everyday. I really miss Noah Kravitz's reviews though.
Mac Rumors
Yeah, shameless Apple fan. Call me a hipster if you want. I don't care.
foodgawker
Don't go or you will get hungry. I guarantee it.
Long Hair Care Forum, Curly Nikki and Naturally Curly
I go there for haircare tips about once or twice a week. I learned so much about hair since I've started reading those websites and there have been so many myths dispelled abou them when I started learning.
Other favorite websites I visit a few times a month:
That Anime Blog
Feminist Frequency
Skep Chick
Ars Technica
Racilicious
But seriously, if you're still reading...go to Virtual Hogwarts and if there's a sorting going on and you're into Harry Potter, SIGN UP!
