Discussing in another thread in general and seeing all the romance discussions and how uptight people get about the idea of their favourite character potentially getting Virmired in ME3.

How many people out there have gotten to this point of the series without picking up a love intrest and how come?

None of the character appeal to you?...
You prefer to go it alone?...
Maybe you're holding out for new options in ME3?..
Or you're holding out for same-sex options with old characters?...
...They died in the suicide mission or Virmire?


In my case Kelly feeds my fish, but I dunno if that counts for much unless that's the latest euphamism for sexual relations amongst the cool kids  - but just wondering whether anyone is still flying solo by this stage or if all the Sheps are shipped

I'm not sure if this counts as an answer but I did a no romance run on my renegade Shep. Her opinion on romance was "the galaxy is falling apart there's no time for that nonsense!!!1!1!"

She is one of my canons so I'll definitely be using her in ME3 - whether she breaks her rule then is up to the story gods and goddesses ;-)

Out of 10 different Sheps ready for ME3, one is single.

She's single because she snapped on Kaidan during the locker scene and didn't bother with anyone in ME2.

My maleShep is holding out for a relationship with Kaidan for ME3 so he went solo for ME1 and ME2.

I would say he's living like a monk but I think monks are getting a lot more action!

I have 2 single Sheps, my canon Femshep and my Worst Possible Playthrough Shep...

My canon Femshep is single because in my headcanon, she's very "on duty" and doesn't want distractions or weaknesses an enemy can exploit. Plus, she's a Colonist/Sole-Survivor and in my head, she lost her significant others to each of those events, so she's kind of traumatized....

the only person I can think of right now that I would let her romance is Tali if she's a bisexual option in ME3...otherwise she's staying single...

My WPP Shep is too much of an ****...he did Renegade f%ck Jack, though

Pretty much this.
My canonShep's never gone for any of the designated love interests, mostly because she doesn't believe in complicating a working relationship. Interestingly, she's also the Colonist/Sole Survivor combination, because apparently I enjoy dancing in the Trauma Conga Line.
Platonic friendships are perfectly fine, but anything beyond that gets stopped in its tracks. Too much of a risk.


...Also, the only characters she's actually interested in are non-romanceable NPCs, so yeah. >.>

There's also my Spacer/Ruthless Shepard, who doesn't have a love interest because... he's married to my Earthborn/War Hero, in my personal headcanon. (It's not as creepy as it sounds. They're not related.)

I have 4 single Shepards.

1 is Male, 3 are Female.

The first single FemShep i did, who is my main I AM THE ULTIMATE Shepard, is single because of who she is.. She isn't going to risk romancing someone on her ship because it may upset the chain of command, may influence her command decisions, ultimately it would be bad for her and the crew, and if she really cared about any of them she'd avoid getting into someone's pants while they're under her command. So she'll remain single.

The rest of them have no such qualms, they mostly just don't think it's an appropriate time for getting their groove on, or simply aren't interested in any of the options. ( One of my FemSheps is holding out for Vega. )

I roleplay male and female Shepards of every sexual orientation. I have two or three (I don´t remember) male Shepards who are holding out for Kaidan and whoever else is SSR-able.

My main is single (despite frequent attempts at ninjamancing). I don't think he'd have any problem about getting involved with one of his crew, but none of the LIs really fit all that well. Unless that changes in ME3, I guess he'd better get the address of that dating site from Miranda.

I purposely set up my only FemShep to start to have feelings for Kaidan, only to have him die on Virmire. And she has been alone ever since.

Will have 2 Sheps ready for ME3, both are taken.  One was single in ME1, so got on with Miranda in the 2nd.  My 2nd Shep is picking up Ashley and will be exclusive to her right to the end.

All my Sheps (except for one FemShep) are single. None of the romances really appealed to me, except for Thane's. Garrus seemed like an interesting character, as did Jack, but the way their romances were executed just fell short for me. My Sheps just generally take after me, and prefer not being involved with anyone, unless splitting their time between being alone and being with their LI is more valuable than just time spent alone. As it stands, there are more important things for Shepard to occupy his/her time with, such as feeding the fish, collecting ship models and playing with the space hamster.

Several of my Shepards are holding out for Kasumi the most, and several are waiting for homosexual relationships. But all of the other 53 Sheps I have that chose someone have romanced all the possible characters. Come onnnn asian love interest!
