Leliana story bug, or intended?

I have had Leliana's rep at 100 for a little time now, and am in a romance with Morrigan.  In camp after the darkspawn attack, and after I have helped Leliana deal with her old teacher, I had a "we need to talk" conversation option, which appeared to be about how she was dealing with the aftermath of dealing with her mentor.  At the end of it she says she loves me, and not once did I choose a conversation option that would have suggested I was going in that direction.

Is that intended?  Should I roll with it and deal with the consequences of not accepting that, or is that going to lead to major trouble?  I'm not entirely sure if it's not a bug to be honest given that I never chose any romance options with her at all.  I even chose the "let's be friends" option at the end and it still says she loves me.

Thanks for your help.

Leliana's ninja-mance is pretty well known. I wouldn't call it a bug, but I doubt it's intended.
Basically, if you're being nice to her it's pretty easy to start the romance without knowing it, since some apparently innocent, friendly lines can trigger it.

Eventually she'll get upset about your "cheating" with Morrigan, and Morrigan will get upset about your cheating with Leliana. It won't necessarily break the romance with Morrigan, just if you keep stringing Leliana along (intentional or not) eventually you'll be forced to choose in a conversation with her, at which point you can just pick Morrigan and all's well.

You can pretty safely just go along with it and break up with her when the opportunity presents itself, but depending on how you handle it you can expect some disapproval.

It's a bug. That conversation is completely messed up. There are a few issues with flags being incorrectly coded, and other flags that are not set properly earlier in the game that other flags depend on, and dialog trees that just wouldn't work properly even if the flags weren't broken. As far as I know, I'm the only person who managed to get it working properly. But yeh, it's a bug.

The game has a number of irritating dialogue bugs - just make sure not to say "She was special to you, wasn't she?" during that conversation and you'll be fine.

Do any of the dialogue fix mods address this one? I haven't noticed other bugs yet but it's my first play through.

Click "ZDF dialog Fix" in ejoslin's signature.

As far as I know, I'm the only person who managed to get it working properly.

Dialogue Tweaks also works to fix the ninja mance bug. If you use zdf and DT be sure to remove the Zevran files from DT and they will work fine together.

I am installing some of this now. When you place something in the override folder, do you copy in an entire folder or just the files within those folders? I can't find a guide that explains that element clearly. Here is an example.

I got the Dragon Age Rules Fix Pack. It has a ton of folders within a main folder. I copied the individual folders into Override. Was that correct, or should I have copied the main folder that contained all of those, or even the individual files within the folders?

Thanks!

It doesn't matter. You can do it either way. All the subdirectories within the folder are read. Keeping the entire file structure intact keeps the whole thing neater and easier to delete if you're having problems.
