What does it say about the code?? does it say code is wrong or does it say it is already in use??
IF you have triple checked to make sure the code is being entered correctly, as in 1 instead of L or some stupid shasha like that, and you are entering the correct code ie the license code versus a bonus item code then ........
You are probably down to 2 options, returning it to amazon as not usable due to the code is invalid or trying to beg a fix from EA(good luck with that on used game).

Are you sure you're using the correct code? The one on the back of the manual? where is says 'serial number'? And not the one on the piece if paper where you get the Black Emporium for free if you buy a new game? For used copies of the game, people that have this, we'll need to buy the Black Emporium.

Me too - bought second hand on eBay. To be fair the ad said the code had been used but I assumed that meant for the add-on crap (and I'm happy with the vanilla game).
Now it won't validate the game
Yes - I have checked the code on the manual in the DVD box - otherwise this forum wouldn't let me post here as a registered user

No one in here can do anything. Check the forum description. Only EA can do anything, if they feel like it. The link to get there is at the bottom of every page.

Thanks for bothering to reply Gorath.
Not sure what you mean by the 'forum descriptio'n - which appears to be 'Technical Self Help'. Are you perhaps pointing out that the idea a self help forum is an oxymoron? For humorous effect?
Here's a more helpful response I found on another thread - it worked for me:-
Thanks for the reply Abadomen.I have searched the forum and i have found the solution .I have installed the "origin" from the EA store and activate my game from there,by using the settings button.

I had the exact same problem. Check this^ thread for more information, and a possible solution. It worked for me.
EDIT: Figured I might as well just post the solution here. Heh.
1. Go to EA and register an account if you haven't already.
2. Click on 'Shop at Origin' and download the program. (Origin)
3. Once installed, open it and go to settings.
4. Click on 'validate code' (or something of the like.) and enter your serial number. (The code on the back of the manual.)
5.Once validated, start up DA II from the disk. You should be able to run it.
This solution was originally posted by Gandalfo. So credits go to him and xphealy who helped by posted as well.

The TITLE is misleading. The description is not:
" This forum is for fans and owners of Dragon Age II on PC to assist each other with technical questions and advice. Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts at the link at the bottom of the page. Fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here. "
