If you'd rather invest your time in something else though, I can't recommend it.
The main, and for me only major attraction to it is the main plot, which is contained in only seven missions. So, you might as well just watch them on YouTube.
In the end, the choice is yours, but don't go in while expecting a masterpiece of game design.

Interesting. I assume it's impossible to either love both games or hate both games, by your tone?Fhaileas wrote...

Cause i bought it on xbox and pc(same goes for ME2).. but not that poor cause i got the pc versions on steam really cheap.
I did more playthroughs of ME1 then ME2. And don't be put of by what people say about the Mako. It is an awesome ride its the randomly generated planet surfaces that can sometimes be a **** to navigate.
YES do it!

Upon the realization that I will be humming "House of the Rising Sun" for the remainder of the evening, I have gradually developed a lot of hate towards you two.PXXL wrote...

? I liked both.
"ME3 is the best place to enter the trilogy" so no, don't buy ME1 because BW has set it up so everything in ME1 doesn't matter.... you'll just get some bull comic choice at the start of ME3, "thanks for being loyal hardcore fans, now open up wide as we feed you sh!t" DA2 and ME2 killed the first games, guess we'll enjoy mail coverage of things we spent over one hundred hours doing for each "different" playthrough.
Doesn't fly with my friends and I but theres plenty of casual gamers out there who'll eat it up and think its strawberries, fifty/fifty about buying ME3 however we've already come this far so we might as well buy the last game although that'll be the end of that. BW or EA, whoever pulled the strings for ME2 and DA2 have lost at least six customers due to efforts to maximise profits while reducing quality of RPG content.
PS. Maybe three of those six will come back to BW some day due to their cattle like behaviour.
Edit: ME2 makes the actions of Nazara seem like a complete waste.... after the Rachni idea failed couldn't he have set off his little distress becon thing that caused the other Reapers to head back anyway? the tech wouldn've been two thousand years less advanced allowing them to take zero casualties or why wasn't the Collector ships helping his Geth fleet when it attacked the citadel?
You seem awfully mad, are you OK? . . . . . . . . .

It's mind boggling the number of people that love the 1st and hate the 2nd or visa versa. In the grand scheme of things they are not that different and both are lots of fun with a lot of replayability.

Don't get it. Terrible game, just terrible. I recommend buying the first Two Worlds, a much better RPG.
