Finally, someone else who appreciates the first Punisher movie.
Well, technically it's the second Punisher movie, after the lame late 80's adaptation with Dolph Lundgren.
But yes, it's an excellent movie that is criminally underrated IMHO. I'd put it up against the best of the many Marvel adaptations out there.

Frank Castle vs. The Russian from The Punisher
I love that film, really underrated.
War Zone was kind of cool...but focused more on the gore and shock factor, and that certainly disappointed me.
I prefer the Thomas Jane version.

This is probably the most brutal and realistic battle scene in any war movie ever made:
D-Day invasion from Saving Private Ryan 1
D-Day invasion from Saving Private Ryan 2
D-Day invasion from Saving Private Ryan 3
EDIT: Posted the whole thing in higher quality.
I was about to post those as well. I've always prefered battle scenes that have a historic bent to them.
Another one that I really liked was from a movie called The Lost Battalion

Anyway, here is one of the best sword fights I've ever seen.
Easily one of the best fight scenes, period. There's a number of reasons it's so good, aside from the fact both actors look like expert swordsman.
-No music until the cimax.
-The sporadic bursts of action are offset by some wonderfully tense shots of each actor's face. Neeson's look of fear after Roths' first attack says it all: "I am way out of my league.."
-It's a classic example of modern technology usurping the archaic. Roth's weapon and technique were far superior. It was only guts and heart that won the fight.

Absolutely, this. Best one-on-one fight ever, imo.ReallyRue wrote...
Jen vs. Shu Lien in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I've always liked that one.
Also, any battle scene from LOTR, and 300. Yes, the entire movie. After a few minutes of exposition it was basically one big battle scene anyway...
And finally a big shout out to Asuka vs. the MP Evas. Not exactly the best on it's own, but watch it set to Nena's 99 Luftballons.

Fantasy, easily the best fanmade video game action sequences released a
couple years back. Seeing Final Fantasy characters vs Dead or Alive is a
dream. Studios would be crazy not to hire Monty Oum! Here's an insane
fight sequence from Dead Fantasy:
Oh
snap, didn't know he released a preview of the next episodes...the
audience in the background went batsh*t at the end because it's...Ryu
Hayabusa vs Vincent Valentine!! Can't wait =)

Lol iconic Bruce Lee and Norris. Can't believe he died so young at what 32? He's definitely left a legacy, in particular the explosion of popularity of mixed martial arts. Here's a cool video series of various UFC stars (Anderson Silver, Bj Penn, Frankie Edgar, Jon Jones, Randy Courture, etc) discussing the impact of Bruce Lee on their sport.

The final duel from Scaramouche. My favorite sword fight ever despite not liking that style of fencing.
Connor Mcleod vs The Kurgan. Would be first if not for the poor resolution after they fall.
Luke vs Vader in ROTJ. Not so much for choreography, but the drama of the situation.
Geralt of Rivia vs Witcher Assassin in The Witcher outro.
