I really hate this one. It is one of the worst characters I have had to play with. Angry half naked Tank Girl wanna-be. When I did her loyalty quest I couldn't stand listening to her crazy talk. I wish I could have just left her with the bomb. Her voice, the way she looks, the way she talks, and the fact she is an angry **** make me want to kill her.
I read that later in the game you may have some squad members killed. I hope  can get hir murdered later. I hate everything about this character. She is just annoying. How is that a troll? I really do hate that character. How is not liking a characters personality immature? Isn't playing video games immature in the first place? No I am not a troll or immature, I was asking because I wanted to know if anyone else out there hates everything about this character as much as I do? It hate her, I hate hearing her speak, I hate the way she talks like she is all dark and troubled, and I hate the way she looks. I do like Miranda better, but my team is the Krogan and the Salarian guy or Tali. I often use Garet too.
So no, don't be an ass and assume this is trolling. If you don't have anything to add just STFU and don't post.

I mean the whole point of this board is to talk about the game, so that is what I was doing. You are the ones who are immature for having nothing of value to add to a conversation but feeling you are so important and needed to be heard so you say troll. Well after all of that I just have to respond in a manner that agrees with your stance.

I personally like Jack, she has legitimate reasons for all of her flaws, and part of her character arc is overcoming them. What's not to like? You don't like the fact that she's hostile? That she dresses in a way you're uncomfortable with? The way she uses coarse language because of the rough life she's led? You haven't given reasons, just listed things you don't like personally and yelled at others for not agreeing - you're welcome to have your own opinion, but don't bring it up in the way you have.

Also, the "Salarian guy" is named Mordin Solus, and I believe "Garet" refers to Garrus Vakarian - which aren't really that hard to spell or look up...

It's easy to dislike that particular character, considering her volatile personality. As yuoaman pointed out, there are legitimate reasons for her rebellious attitude and explosive personality.

Aside from the OP I also dislike Jack a bit. I just found her combativeness and overall criminal history just off putting. Now I know that the entire reason she's jack is because of what she went through and that she does this to put up emotional barriers from others, but even in real life I just refuse to put in the effort to tear down those barriers hoping instead that they help themselves and deal with their own problems. That type of character always annoys me, so it's not really jack in a sense. That's just my two cents.

Well, she is. Did you not pay attention to her personal background? She acts that way is because she doesn't want to get close to anyone fearing she might get hurt again.

And the thing with Jack is that while I didn't like her, I was interested in her, and it felt good to help her through her issues.

Don't be a douchebag. First you call me a troll then you are an ass. Yeah I misspelled the name, big whoop. You can't just have a conversation with people these days.
I don't like jack because I think everything about the character is tacky, annoying, and copies Tank Girl. Her style and even her voice are just like the character from Tank Girl. I hate the way she is supposed to be dark and brooding, it just comes off as really cheap and satirical. I get that she is supposed to be a troubled person who has led a life of tourture and all that jazz, but it just comes off as being so overacted and lame. The way she dresses does not make me uncomfortable, I like half naked chicks..When they don't look like a disease ridden junky. She just looks like a junky to me. Those are some of the reasons why I don't like her.

And don't get all super-nerd on me and complain I don't know one of the guys names. It's just a game. Once I beat this I am moving on to the next game. I probably won't remember all the names of all the characters and even get one wrong. Yeah I could look it up, but I didn't. So get off your high nerd horse and be civil for ****s sake.

I actually like her in the first one but in 2 I really don't care for her. I do like the little Orb thingie she has. Right now I am using the assassin guy (yeah again I din't bother to go look up his name) and the Krogan. I got the blue chick and I like her for the magic type person.
Does it matter who you have on your team? I noticed when I was on Omega (I think)  I had Miranda and someone saw her and gave me a quest.

Jack is a deep character if you take the time out to understand why she acts the way she does (being raped multiple times, used, terrible childhood, ect). In my playthrough where she was my character's romance, I felt rewarded at the Omega 4 Relay scene just by the fact that my character actually made a difference to her and could make her feel happy without needing something in return from her. Buuut, I do have to say that on the playthrough where I was not romancing her, I really didn't want to take the same amount of time getting close to her. Bet she feels used that time. =(

Don't worry, guy. I don't like her either, personality-wise.
She keeps shouting "I WILL DESTROY YOU!!!". Brings back...bad memories.

But maybe if she had hair...
