She is actually one of the more deeper characters (if you get to know her) and has one of the more interesting storylines in the game. Only thing I didn't like was this insistence on her being half naked all the time. On that note I wish there was a dress down option for visiting the Citadel or Ilium and that combat missions everyone appropriately suits up.

Jack is a Okay character, I don't like her much, she though is above Jacob. Those two characters I dislike the most in the whole Series. TIM is dead last. I though kept them alive, like all the other characters. It too annoying people saying Troll when this your own opinions, Topic. That word, maybe some others get annoying after awhile seeing them. Jack The only things I dislike about her are The Style, The argument she have with Miranda and the background. Maybe Jack will be better, more mature in Mass Effect 3, as well some others.

I don't like Jack as a person. As a character she's definitely one of the most interesting and developed, and has quite a bit more depth to her than the others.

Heh heh. I can say I most certainly did not get the achievement for everyone surviving. Guess who didn't make it.

I hated her at first for the reasons that the OP stated, but she sort of grew on it. During my Paragon playthrough, I romanced Miranda, so naturally I took her side whenever she and Jack got into it with each other. I didn't bother talking to Jack.

I'm doing a Renegade playthrough right now, and I'm' actually enjoying her character. She's really interesting if you actually talk to her. I actually find myself excited after a mission to get the chance to go and talk to her.

My God! Have I fallen in love with a videogame character!? :?

Meh, falling in love with vg characters happens. You just go on with that it's just a game and find something in real life... Though what I would do if this game was real...

I don't hate Jack, but I don't like her much either. She's not the nicest person in the world and I lost Miranda because I sided with her and I don't know if it would've been a loss to have Jack die instead. But I know what's it like to really hate a character-I think she and Zaeed are the only characters that truly annoy me.
