So I did the village rescue and castle bit in one go, I've chosen to go get the Circle Mages to save the boy but I know that's going to be a slog (plus my gear is dated) so I'd rather do something else first.
My question is will the game punish me for putting this off for later?
QQ? After the Arl of Redcliffe... Am I in a hurry?

No--but though the Circle Tower is long, it's still the easiest of the main quests, easier than Redcliffe in my opinion.

And as the Circle Tower provides some nice boni, doing it early is helpful.

I wanted to do Redcliffe first because I never healed him my first play-through.
Yes, I only beat the game once in all this time. Also, I played as a Mage so this feels like a breeze being a Rogue, I don't die when enemies get to me!
