I just got a new computer today, my 'old' one (less then a week old..) crashed this sunday. Luckily, I still had warranty on it, so they gave me another one instead.

Thing is, I had DA II installed on the one that crashed.. Will I need to buy a new copy of DA II in order to activate the game?

Oh, by the way, I registered DA II on EA's new store; 'Origin'. If that makes any difference.

Thanks

You don't really need to buy a new copy.

If you reinstalled OS and have the physical copy of DA, then yes you have to reinstall the game.

If it's a digital copy, you can re-download the game provided you have all the necessary info (game ID#, code and such).

Otherwise, call EA. Good luck.

Thanks alot.

But what about the serial number? It's already been used once and I don't think I can use it multiple times.. or can I?

You're allowed to have DA2 installed on more than one machine so installing it on your new machine should not be an issue. It will have to be associated with your Origin account, however.
