Anyway, i found the first episode rather slow, but Tallis was charming. The second episode was much better, and the third an improvement on the second.

Can't wait for the fourth. I believe there will be 6?

The fight scene in episode three was very...dark. But Felicia and the templar fella were very funny in the preceding scene. I'm enjoying the series so far.

Chris, what is this threads attitude towards spoilers?

It will be hard to discuss the series without spoiling things, but the intent of the thread seems to be to get people watching it, in which case it would be best not to spoil things for them.

Well, I thought the first one was Uwe Boll-esque. I'll probably watch the rest at some point.

I know this is a webseries but this is bad by webseries standards. I can't stand the protagonist.

Lots of continuity mistakes...

Like, Templars can actually marry.

Or... Phylacteries being able to weaken a mage... Unless I missed something in the lore?

Or maybe some Templars break their vows and marry in secret.

And perhaps that's just something they hadn't revealed yet. The Chantry keeps the fact that phylacteries are really blood magic a secret.

I just kind of assumed that Aveline and Wesley were married before he became a templar, kind of like Jory was married and joining the grey wardens.

eta:  Oh!  and I loved the shield bash in episode 3.  My favorite from DAO!

I don't think there are explicit rules preventing them from getting married or being celibate but most of them choose to anyway. And I wouldn't want to marry some lyrium addicted mage killer.... unless it was Cullen.......

On another note, I watched one of the epis with the sound off... no this is not for me.

The Grey Wardens have no restrictions on Marriage as far as I know. That was just a misunderstanding by that Nesiara girl.

Seeing as how Keenan and Kristoff were both married, Genevive was engaged to Guy and they were both wardens, and both the Warden can marry Alistair or Anora and still serves as Warden-Commander of Ferelden.

Templars can marry, but only by special permission.

Grey Wardens generally don't marry on account of the shortened lifespan and infertility.

I really enjoyed the series so far I felt the quality was great and am looking forward to more. Are Templars allowed to marry? I would think not since they will get lyrium addled and that is a supposed chantry secret none of the templars we meet in DAO are married.

If they could only improve the magic special effects. That's the only thing I don't like, but I understand it's only a web series and can't have the "most awesomest looking effects EVAR!!".

Grey Wardens aren't infertile. The Warden can impregnate Morrigan without the DR. And Fiona had a child with Maric.

Yea reduced fertility rate is more accurate.
