I find it ironic they only knew each other for one day or so and they were acting all lovey-dovey with each other before he... Well, you know the rest.

The Sarabas used magic to force J to stab S while they were struggling for the knife... neither one did it on purpose.

I could have sworn I heard somewhere that there was a 'vashoth' type of kossith that were different from the tal'vashoth. That memory is very vague though. I think we'll be seeing more of these characters too, I think out of everyone Josmael is my favorite. And I'm not sure what happened with his girlfriend, did she stab herself, did she fall, did Josmael stab her (I don't think he did), I just wasn't sure what happened there.

According to what the devs or possibly one of the Codexes have told us I think "Vashoth" are Qunari who has left the Qun. A Tal'Vashoth is one that has become violent.

Yeah, that is what I was thinking, but I know that I have heard it used before.

Ok, I knew there was a struggle happening, but not sure exactly what was going on.

I think Fina intended to stab Josmael, but he got the knife away from her. The saarebas then forced the two together with magic.

So did this series contribute... anything to the world of Thedas? Or was this just another promotional gig for Tallis's character like MOtA was? I'm curious because the world of Thedas in general (history, lor, etc.) is what the devs claim is what Dragon Age is about.

Feel free to clarify or correct me.

Well, it's the saga of Thedas as told through the individual stories of people living during a crucial period of the continent's history. I mean, The Stolen Throne is about how the Fereldans overthrew the Orlesian occupation, but it's also a very personal story about two love affairs that end in tragedy and how a rebel prince turned into an able king.

Specifically, Redemption shows us how Tallis became a rogue agent and sets up Mark of the Assassin, which itself introduces us to quite a bit of lore regarding the qunari and the Orlesians.

If you're going for precise accurate unaltered lore...you won't find it.
But it's still pretty damned good, and they do what they can to keep the lore canon.

finally got to see the last episode. Pretty entertaining, and the early part was cute Image IPB  I liked how the elf girl's dress seemed to be made to match one of the in-game designs.

Everyone needs to wear a dog collar or necklace then.

I just watched episodes 1 through 6 then finally played Mark of the Assassin. Considering she wrote and acted in every episode I have massive respect and a huge crush on Felicia Day now and loved the DLC. Oh... and I think there should be a new religion called The Qun. I mean lets face it if Star Wars geeks can make Jedi a religion why not?

I'm still a bit confused concerning the timeline between the Redemption series and the Mark of the Assassin DLC... which one occurs first?

I thought the series was fine until the last episode.

SPOILERS
SPOILERS

The sudden romance completely ruined immersion in the series as while there had been slight romantic buildup, there was not nearly enough to justify Tallis' emotional reaction, especially considering how callous she normally was. It also seemed to be built entirely on cliches for how such a showdown could unfold.

For only being six episodes long it was pretty awesome! I felt a little disappointed that they couldn't find bigger (as in more muscly Image IPB) guys to play the kossith... They tenned to look like huge guys in the game. Still, I hope we see more from Redemption down the line!

I liked Redemption, although I felt that maybe the ending seemed a little rushed, even just two more episodes would have allowed more time to get to resolving the climax and get the romance a little more time to actually develop between Cairn and Tallis.

Not to mention, given some time for Nyree and Josmael to actually do something. Seriously, did they really ever get a chance to actually do anything? It seemed Cairn and Tallis got the spotlight to fight the bad guys and Saarebas at every opportunity while we occasionally cut to them... dealing with the nameless mooks?

It was a shame because Nyree was easily the best character and the whole quest had at least as equal emotional significance to Josmael as it did Cairn.

Think about it, Josmael had his uncle taken, was burdened with being the new Keeper, gets his settlement attacked by Saarebas, fails to protect the artefact, loses his girl, finds out his uncle is dead and then discovers that his girlfriend betrayed him just before she dies...

Have we seen mages in Dragon Age go completely berserk and unleash a torrent of pain on the ones who crossed them, for less? Josmael's reaction should have been to go all "Destiny Trailer Hawke" on Saarebas and rip him to pieces...

Something like that would have definitely justified his "I'm the Keeper now" character growth and proved that he's just as legitimately badass as the others in the party.

Regardless, it was a great webseries overall and I definitely enjoyed it.

I watched the first episode when it came out and liked it. Then I didn't remember to check for new episodes so when I checked back recently, I was able to watch all episodes in a row and I liked them a lot. My only complaint is that I want more of it!

Agree with Sifr1449 (mostly, Josmael needed to either rage but fail, or show more signs of shock/fear). A good mini-web series which could have been great given more time for the little incidental things as well as the big stuff. The last episode was easily the best. And Nyree finally turned from annoying to funny.

I finally had enough time on my hand to sit down and leisurely watch Dragon Age Redemption. I enjoyed it a lot and would love to see another season some day. It added a lot to Tallis character and I'll have to replay Mark of the Assassin soon in order to see how she'll interact with my other two Hawkes. Moaaar please! :D

Make up our mind, can a Templar marry or not? When we questioned you all in DA2 about Ser Wesley, you stated that a Templar can marry. However, in Redemption, the Templar states he cannot wed.. *sighs*

The series is to short. It is like watching a long commercial or movie trailer. You just start to get into the story, and it's over. When I heard there would be a series, I assumed it would be at least a 30 minute show, minus commercial and all the credits.

The story line is a bit over the top at times, but not bad. The Qunari look... really strange. Some of the actors are decent, and some are absolutely horrid.

Another question, when did a phylactery have the power to disable a magi? I was under the impression, it was only a tracking device?

It is worth the watch. It is free after all. Day, is quirky; not a stellar actress, but she is fun to watch.

My .02 anyway..

Regards

Felicia explained somewhere that she wrote the whole script even before Dragon Age 2's release and never had the chance to play it before filming. She built that script based on her own imagination and her experience from Dragon Age Origins which she already finished. I take it they couldn't really change all those scenes after Dragon Age 2 got released, so they kept the original version.
